Loving this thread, Started flowering my second grow now and I'm going to give two boss hog a try see how they come out for my third grow, started germing them today. Will definitely stick a long to see this grow.

No, lady bugs are beneficial predator insects that will eat aphids and spider mites etc. They are in there for prevention, they will not touch the plants.
And a 400 watt light and ballast with lamp should run around 200 but then you must consider ventilation bc that will cost equally the same amount

I am very glad I flowered a week earlier then expected because my plants are growing much taller then expected, and i really hope they don't go any further because my light is as far up as it can go right now. My LED light is on its way which will allow me to fully light the left side of the space and adequately light the plant that has surpassed the light, as you can see.
Unfortunately, I am struggling with some deficiencies of some sort whether from nute burn earlier on or lack of nutes lately, not quite sure yet. But I have hopes they will pull through. Word of advice for anyone reading, don't nute earlier then needed and start off slow. Less is more.

You could try to tie them down if you have the room.
im currently growing a nirvana NL too, the first two weeks of flower she stretched heaps but has slowed down now and is growing some nice flower
I'm at day 31 of flower, under a 400w hps.

I wouldn't crop or bend too much as you are in flower now... better to do all that training in veg stage

Yeah, I don't want to either, my worry is not about heat, as my fan pulls plenty of heat from my light, but rather in them being too close to the light if they are practically touching the top of the light, so i am just going to give it a few days and see if it comes to that.

Wow, those babies really shot up. The lower part of the plants can't possibly be getting enough light.

Lightbulb went off the other day when I was shopping for soil for my herb garden.
First grow, I only used organic bagged soil from Home Depot. I didn't add any compost or perlite to it!!!! That's why I was having soil compaction at week 5 and had to aerate. I think the tighter soil may have reduced root growth and stretch. My next grow will have the proper ratio of soil ammendments. Then I can decide which will work better for me.
Really, 8oz from four plants is NOT a bad thing. Especially running just organic bagged soil! I'm ready to see what you end up with at harvest.
