Hello RIU. So this is my first official grow and I'm really excited.
I'm going to try and keep things short and simple.
I'm not new to growing but i am a newb. I've spent the past two years working on failed CFL projects. Due to lack of funds and time.
During those two years I've learned quite a bit. So bare with me. I saved some money and have time to do it right, and now Im here...

Setup
:

400 Watt HPS/MH dimable w/ 6" cooltube.
36" X 20" x 62" Reflective tent.
200 CFM out-take inline fan.
100 CFM in-take fan.
6" Circulation fan.
Sanctuary soil and feed "Indoor-Outdoor growers mix".
General Hydroponics Flora nova Grow & Bloom.
Ph tester kit w/ ph up & down.
7 X Kc Brains - Mango REG. Seeds. (Thai X Brazil) X (Afgani)

Here are some pics of the setup. (NOTE: These pics are before the cooltube. Updated pics in a few days)

These mango are only 5 days old. With MH light on 50% (Pictures taken yesterday.)
All in 1 gal. pots for now. Then I will transfer to 3.5 gal. and keep only 4 plants (If that many are female.)

Alright RIU. That is it for now. Updates will be coming in periodically. Let me know what you guys think. All criticism and complements welcome.

P.S.
I have heard all the horrible thing about this strain, so i am hoping for the best.
They all seem to be growing very fast, don't know if this is just genetics or a sign of being male/hermie.
I'm hoping to get at least one good pheno-type Female to clone. Eventually i want to run 4 different strains.
Next grow I will be doing only fem seeds of GHS-Super Bud and HSO-Sour Blueberry.

I mist the air with purified water every day. usually it stays at 50% all day after i spray but sometimes drops a little lower, at which time I spray again.
As for space concerns I plan to keep only four in the end, if that. I may not have that many females. Plus i only plan to veg for 3 weeks.

Either way I'll be happy for the experience.

HELL yes! I've got Gandalf and Bilbo looking in. Must have done something right.:hump:lol. Thanks guys. I really aim to set the bar High, considering all the failed or weak CFL attempts.

Subbin up. I've got 4 mango seeds going as well. They are bag seed, so it might be crossed with something, but hopefully it turns out nice. Already noticed it has a huge tendency to stretch so make sure to keep your lights close enough. I wasn't really paying attention and mine stretched up to 4 inches with just the first leaves lol. I'll just bury it when I transplant, but definitely fixed the light for now.

I grew mango once but wasn't able to flower it... too bad too cuz it was a really vigorous hybrid and a good fruity smoke.... It has some of the best smelling buds

Yeah, mine did the same when they popped up out of the soil. Some even toppled over. I plan to do a little lst-ing as they get bigger so it's not a big deal. What's weird is Kc brains say their Mango is an indica dominant strain. I wonder why they would stretch so much like that.

and ya like DrGreenKing says. they stretch... i would suggest topping early, supercropping and lst because they stretch

I didn't want to top originally but what I'm seeing after this past week with the mango, I'm definitely going to lst.

Do you know or remember what breeder it was from?
No, unfortunately. It was a bean i picked out of some from real dank mango.. it grew similarly to master kush that i was also growing at the time.. also bag seed so don't know the full genetics just that it was master kush

Okay guys, here is a little update.
Just started feeding yesterday. I gave the little baby Mangos about 25% recommended dose of "Flora Nova Grow." I will start a heavier feeding next week. I will give them 50% recommended dose throughout the rest of the veg cycle.

Pictures from today...you think they liked there feeding?..

What do your Mangos look like? Also how far along are they?

Just noticed some inner-node growth on the Mangos today, so they're going to start to bush out from here. I switched 'em from 24/0 to 18/6 on the day I fed them, which i believe was two days ago. I'm preparing myself for the "BIG STRECH," so i figure i will top the fourth node and lst from there on all the Mangos. Going to feed them again tomorrow with 25% dose of "FloraNova Grow," and from there on out for the rest of the veg cycle and the first week of flowering will be fed 50% dose of "FloraNova Grow." I hope/expect to see some dramatic results in about four days to a week. Anyway that is it for now. I will not post pic unless specifically asked. I don't want to seem like a feed/forum hog. Plus this should probably be in the journal forum anyway huh? sorry guys. Anyway peace and happy growing. Until next time my friends.
