Hello this is 1st grow for me and got 2 sour diesel seeds from medical marijuana dispensary purchase and they were germinated with 2-3 oz water overnight, under cfl lights for 1 month on 18/6 and then switched to 400 watt mh still on 18/6 For a month and since July 31 been on 400 watt hps 12/12 after getting 24 hours of darkness on July 30, now they are 42-43 inches tall about 3 1/2 feet and nutrients used are micro-flora series with some b-1 and some liquid karma every now and then. water schedule is every other day with some misting of b1 and water every now and then at night. I also provide a little bit of Co2 by putting baking soda in a salsa dish and squirt vinegar in it and let it evaporate, cooling done by fan on side, any suggestions or advice please

interesting i was wondering are you just using that fan for cooling? and what kind of temps are you getting im going to be using a 400watt and heating is a issue now

Yeah just 1 fan for cooling and has 3 piece velcro wall, but i usually let it chill with bottom section insulation with board attached to bottom and i slide out like a door and velcro shut... had to think of something to keep the cat from biting my leaves!, temperatures are day time 76-84 but pretty steady at low 80's and night 67-74. I also make a little burst of Co2 from a salsa bowl of baking soda and some vinegar i squirt in from plastic syringe. I am using a Green House 400 watt digital ballast.:weed:

sweet i was worried of the temps getting up high 90s with out a active exhaust but just using one fan seems to keep it cool enough im going to have 2 fans one on the plants and one at the bulb hopefully that will keep it in the 80s till i can get a good intake and exhaust i want to have the room around mid 70's how much baking soda and vinegar are you using and how would you be able to measure the co2 levels? im still new to this concept

Yeah you should be fine unless it is in a enclosed area or closet than it may have to be left open from time to time. I just put a good little amount in bowl and than just fill my little plastic syringe (one from a dentist to clean out your wisdom teeth hole) it applies pressure and mixes it up nice and i just let it evaporate and put the bowl under each plant and do it 1 or 2 a day, I would do it for sure because it is cheap, it produces Co2 so it can only do good, but bad thing is i do not know exact levels, i have a 10lb Co2 tank but have not purchase a regulator, I am not sure how effective it is but i bet the plants like when the bowl fizzes and evaporates under each canopy.

It is good to hear a strain of diesel like higher temps. i would say my area tamp stays @ 82-84 during day and 69-72 @ night but seem to be just fine if it was fully enclosed i think temps would be much higher and would need exhaust and intake fan but if it has open air available it seems good, humidity stays @ 40-48%
