4000k LED bulbs (12.5 watts each) for my mother tent, yes!

Brought a 4 way splitter from eBay (there are many types, with differing combinations)

..and 4 Philips Corepro LED '13W' bulbs ('100' W equivalent - 4000k - E27 Edison)
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Philips-Corepro-Edison-Dimmable-Frosted/dp/B015OSJBDE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1536961380&sr=8-1&keywords=e27+philips+led+bulb+100+watt+4000k

Pried off the plastic 'bulb' housings with a sharp edged knife (to expose the cob leds). Currently using 3 bulbs in the splitter to see whats what (then I'll add the fourth), I also have two 2700k bulbs (I might add one 2700k for a mix with the three 4000k bulbs). The light spread already (with three bulbs) beats the single 60 watt cfl I was using before :) and these bulbs only pull 12.5 watts each (the 2700k's are 9 Watts). So far, the 6 dwarf mother plants (plus two growing clones and two glasses of cuttings) seem to love it! Great in a tent this size (meant for a single small mother plant). Including the extractor fan (14 Watts), that's approx. 60.5 Watts all in. **pics attached**

nice, love the splitter btw, i use a double splitter with mine, course i still have cfls in there as well
Crazy what you can veg with less than 40 watts now days, can pull some decent weight too.

The 14.5w feits have also done me very well

although I'm playing with hps and cooltubes in my flower tent at the moment ..the thought occurred to take a 1m2 board, interweave a bunch of splitters+bulbs onto it (keeping it in a safe power range :) and seeing what I can flower in a scrog. Wondering 'watt' power would be acceptable in a 1m2 tent (perhaps two smaller units would be better). I'm thinking you could diy a pretty efficient/good flower light at bargain bucket prices with these leds.

Would probably do nice once you hit 350-400w in an area like that, i did something like 220w over a 2x4 table and got okay results, good smoke and surprising yield for low wattage but they just stretched on me more than i preferred.

As a personal med grower, sometimes its nice to put the big lights away for a little while and just do a couple small grows, keeps you sharp & gives you a little more time for daily activities untill you get bored again.

For me, that would be a perfectly acceptable fixture for a veg/mother plant. Simple, available and effective-good job.

if u wanna keep mothers, run 4k to 5k bulbs, don't put in the 3k or the 2.7k, that would prolly cause the mothers to flower, well unless u want them to.......just my 2 cents.....

my mix is 5k and 3k for veg and flower, i keep the 5k going untill i think there ready, then flip the 3k in addition for flower.......
