400w hps bagseed grow

I have 3 bag seeds going. they are about 15 days old and under a 400w hps. I did have them under a 400w mh conversion bulb but it didn't seem to be doing much for growth.
the runt of the 3 seems to be growing much slower then the other 2.
it also has some growth starting right above the cotyledon* (spelt that wrong im sure)
I just topped all 3 earlier today. if and when I get a girl its getting the Scrog treatment.

Oh and my medium is promix. I have yet to give them any nutes. currently they are on 24/0

I watch a round table talk from some of the youtube growers and they left the Bag seed' with distaste. I myself love to see the unknown happen and bag seed is that, you might even find that they might turn out all fem. Since they are bag seeds what did you call them? That is another great thong to do giving them a name . All the best fellow grower.

Thanks. Yes i will eventuallyorder a good strain butfor now im enjoying the variety of bag seed.
Most have been males though.
My first 2 runs where bagseed the first turned out to be the btter of the 2.
This run i started with 8 seeds only 3 germed. 1 of them already showed male preflowers and another is quitethe runt.
1Is growing nice and bushy so im hoping its female. Ill throw up some pics when i gethome

Opinion: I would hope for one fem and one male, take a cutting off the fem and get yourself an unlimited future supply - while still being able to grab some flower. Males are handy.

Unfortunately i already. Tossed a male.but ive got a female.
Im in the process of trying to scrog it.
Ill have pics up later today.
Im just glad 1 turned out to be female.
The runt is starting to grow better so im leaving it for now.

Oh good you did get one female? As I was reading through this thread kinda had a feeling you'd get robbed and have all males. I am by no means an expert grower but I have had 2 grows with seeds. First started with 4 seeds all males. My current grow I started with 9, and got 3 females. Thank god. How far away from the light are they? They seem to be nice short and bushy so I'm guessing it's right about where it's suppose to be. Have you started feeding them yet? Looks good man I'll be watching

Day 28. Going good. Ive been stuck using mg ferts but that will only be for 1 or 2 feedings to keep my N up. Im going to get better nutes payday and flush before i start using them.
I took 1 clone andthe runt on the far right is starting to take off.
Probable going to veg for another week then switch to 12/12.

I was debating on if I should switch to 12/12 or let her veg longer.
I topped about 8 tops and I'm going to veg at least 2 more weeks.
maybe longer.
I have her in a 5 gallon bucket and from what I've read she should be good for 1 month for every gallon so I figure I'll try to finish in 4 months. if that's wrong please let me know.
more pics in a few days when they start bouncing back from the topping.

Two months minimum for me in veg, so I am thumbs up with what you plan. As well as bounce back time from topping I give double thumbs up

Ok sweet i might let her veg 2months. I bet i could fill my homemade scog sccreen.

I might dremel it and make the holes 4 squares big 2inx2in. Roughly.

Don't cut yourself short. provide yourself room for that amount of growth and i believe you allow the plant to mature and not just be a prepubescent child, instead grown stuff like a fine a wine. all the best

lost track and to busy to figure it out. I think I'm at day 40 of veg. going to throw her into flower soon. I fed her some nutes and she's exploding with growth. I'm worried that if I wait to long to flower it will out grow my area.
I'll have pics up soon. I can't believe how fast she's growing.

I just got to figure out when to stop tucking and just let them go straight up.
I think I've read 2 weeks into 12/12 but I need to double triple check.

Well i think for at least the first 4 days of 12/12 im going to move the light to a different corner of the canopy each day.
I think that will help fill in a little more area before the stretch.

I also fed her a 1/4 dose of scotts super bloom. She loves that stuff. Blew up with healthy growth after the feeding.
I was weary on using it but it seems after some googling it can be done just have to start at quarter to half strength.

Ok well I'm a little late with pics lol. I officially started 12/12 3 days ago. I had a timer issue. I had it se for 14/10 rather than 12/12 oops.

wow 9 days into flower and she's looking great. I have feed her in light doses each watering. also seem to have fix my cal issue.
now to figure out when to stop tucking.
I'm thinking since pistils just started popping up yesterday I'm safe to tuck on.
any advise?
