Hey RIU and my fellow auto growers!

I just received my order from the attitude, and am doing a test run to decide which strain I would like to work with. This is my first grow, and my first grow journal, so any help is appreciated.

I am currently germinating:
4x PJ
2x HBD
2x GWS

my equipment is as follows:
1x 400w HPS
1x 9" personal fan
8x 1 gallon pots

Nutrients are as follows:
Grow Big
Big Bloom
Tiger Bloom
Molasses

Medium:
Fox Farms Ocean Forest

Light Cycle:
20/4 constant


I don't currently have a camera, so I'll be borrowing one to take weekly photos for awhile until I get one.

I started germinating these about 4 hours ago. One of the HBD sank in the shotglass already. Should I plant it now? Or will it be okay to wait until some more sink?

I have always used the paper towel method.. works every time. Never tried the shotglass way.

Sub'd I am also growing 3 PJ's and 1 60 day wonder under a 400w they few days old now cept the 60dw cuz for some reason the 2 i had b4 died at one day old link in sig towards the back the first grow well if you wanna read u will see be nice to compare though

oh and as far as germing goes i put them in a glass of water soak for 24 hours then put them in a LITTLE bity hole and lightly push dirt on top 90% pop in exactly 3 days every time

should the soil be wet, or moist when I drop em in?

and do you just soak 24hrs and plant? Or should I wait to see a taproot?

also, do I count today as day one? Or is ground breaking considered day one?

I put holes in the bottom of my party cup then water them real real good let them drain in my bath tube for about 10-15 mins then i put the seeds in the soil just drop them in there they can fig which way to go. some crack after 24 hour soak some dont it doesnt matter the proccess has begun. i like to put a ziplock bag ovver them for a ghetto humidity dome too

okay... I'm starting them in their final 1gal pots, so I can't really do the bathtub thing.

when I put them in the soil, do I turn the lights on to their permanent lighting cycle? Or how much light, if any, should they get while germinating in the soil before they break ground??

ANYWAYZ, I COUNT DAY 1 FROM BREAKING SOIL...I SOAK 12-24 HOURS, TILL MOST DROP THEN ON TO PAPERTOWEL/BAGGIE...AND YES YOU CAN USE THOSE OTHER BAGS..JUS FOLD EM' OVER TO KEEP AIR OUT BEST YOU CAN....ANOTHER SUGGESTION; GET YOU SOME CAL/MG & SOME ROOT STIMULATOR...nOW LET'S GET GROWING!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, I still haven't grabbed any cal/mg. I put so much money into my grow and seeds I'm not gonna have any spendable dough for awhile... Got plenty of sour diesel though.

what exactly does the root stim do? And what brand would you recommend for the cal/mg and root stim?

I just wet up the paper towel, put it on a small plate, and stick the seed folded up in it. leave it in the cabinet for a day or so. make sure it stays wet tho. I usually wet it up every day until the taproot shows up. then straight in the wet soil.

breaking ground is day one for me.

I just realized you are growing Blue Hymalayia Diesel as well! Are they fem? I'm excited for this to grow as well! Good luck!

I started mine in 2 gallon buckets 47 total on 4/18 an buy 4/20 most was up , All came up except 1 by 4/22 , I started mine in pro-mix bx moisted pushed 1/2' hole an filled . all though I started 10 mixed of purple gems in my ol`lady 6.00 walmart terrarium filled 6 bio-degradeable cups filled with pro-mix bx an kept the lid moist under 400wtt hps an the popped with 48 hrs I transplant into 2 gallon buckets an doin well outta 47 seeds in dirt they all popped but one , an are a week old tommorow , will start a journal soon

I'm going to leave them in the shotglasses until about noon tomorrow. Then I'm going to plant them and spray the soil with clean Ph'd water to keep it moist until they sprout.

does that sound okay?

that was my original intention... They are being sprouted/finished in 1 gallon pots.

nah they aren't fem, but this is the first strain to get me excited about autos, so I can't wait for these ones either.
