400w hps in a big closet

heremy question gonna grow at most 3 or 4 plant in a big closet was just wondering if I need a cooltube or if just some good ventilation will do the trick

btw I don't liv ein a place like California were heat a issue

You need to give more information about your space.
How big is the closet?
Will it be open or closed?

I use a 400w hps in a walk in closet, 3.2x7x8ft.

I use an open reflector, 6" 250CFM exhaust fan, 600CFM filter.

I exhaust the room air straight into the attic and utilise passive vents from my soffits into my room.


I grow 4 medium sized (2ft) plants

Generally harvest over 400g.

Temps are stable between 19C-26C.

I'm wondering the same thing actually, my closet is a bit smaller though. more like 2' deep x 6' wide x 8' tall. I could leave it open if I need to for heat, but I am running a 6" 400cfm inline fan for exhaust at the moment, however that would go onto a cooltube perfectly if I get one, and I could switch to a 4" inline for exhaust of the room. right now ambient room temp is probably 65-70 since it's fall where I'm at.

any input? I think I'm gonna buy the cooltube just in case, but hopefully I won't need it.
