400w HPS setup not turning on need help :(

i bought a 400w HPS setup, its not top of the line by any means but it worked very well while it was actually coming on. I ran it for about 78 hours total so far, 18/6 light cycle. When i went to plug it back in this morning the bulb never lit up. I took my MH conversion bulb out and put my HPS bulb in to see if it was maybe the bulb. the HPS came on so i cleaned the MH conversion bulb connections with a alcohol wipe and tried it again after. Now neither lights come on and iv left it plugged up for around 10 min and no light. The MH conversion does light up for a few seconds in the middle but never comes on fully. someone PLEASE help. I have a warranty on the ballast, and if thats the problem i can get it replaced i believe without much down time. Input needed!!!

check the wires make sure you got every thing lockt in place..if so then ya replace the ballast..or try replacing the bulb first..

sounds like your capacitor went bad, I had to replace mine on my 400

i just took the case off of it the guy i bought it from said to go ahead and try, i made sure all the wires were connecting good, which they were, plugged back up and still nothing :/. Looks like the ballast is bad ty guys for your help
