There's a 3 metre cord from the light fixture and then only like 30cm of cord on the other side of the ballast. Would need another cord to extend that, pretty sure 3m is the smallest I can get.. Could also place the ballast just in front of the intake... get it cooled a little but.also have that warm air coming through.

Wait I thought the temps were too cold when lights off?
If you put the ballast near or in the tent, when the lights off it's going to run cool... So it won't do anything?

But yeah that's fine... As long as it's a Heavy Duty power cord

At the bottom left of my original post, to the right of where is says "Journal this Post" is a Star looking symbol, clicking that on my post will +rep to me.

Lights on is a little cold too, not much over 20 degrees. It was 8 degrees outside when I woke this morning.
Could always throw the exhaust fan on a timer, say leave it off for a few minutes every half hour to get heat in, smell shouldn't seep too much.

I'd love to run a 600 or a 1000 but being my first grow and not sure how I was going to go 400w it was... working on 0.5g per watt as a yield covers set up, electricity, nutes etc etc.

Do plants take ok to changing watering schedule? I was watering 8 litres between 4 plants every 2 days in veg but now in flower I can get away with 9 litres in 3 days with 10% run off... feeding at about 2.6 ec (including tap ec) and they're showing some burn so I backed off half mil per litre in nutes.

Had a light bulb moment earlier, tied my temp/rh gauge up with string and taped it hanging down 10" from the bulb. Easier adjustments and readings from the canopy!

My clones seem to be failing but I'll give them another week, I think they're just too cold.

Do either of you guys have journals or threads of your own you could link me to? Hard to search on mobile and you've both been great helps so far!

And another genius idea... instead of tipping the waste, using it on the outdoor plants around the house!!

did my research on pot size and coco, 12 litres is about the go, repotted once when I switched to the tent.
Lights on temp is now at 23 with 52 % humidity. The cooling for summer is going to be awesome... Just can't dial it down enough for winter lol.
Compact in what way fenian? That's a 1mx1mx2m tent lol. I only just got the hood in there, it's a big m.f!

The last reading? Just had the central heating on. You can see the guage hanging down in one of the last pictures, little white box about an inch big.
Moved the hood up against the side of the tent today as everything directly under it is starting to overtake!

I'm hoping the stretch is almost done, I stopped training and they've shot up to almost 16" above the screen.
Measured the distance between nodes, two plants nice and compact at about 2" the other two are about 4" between or more.
Is this more strain based or lighting based?

Great news!!! 10/12 clones have taken!! 8/10 have more than one root popping through the pellet too!!
I'll transfer them into party cups with holes in them this weekend and during the next 6 or so weeks I'll top and train them til I'm ready to pick the best of the three! Hopefully they don't grow too fast under a 23w cfl (6400k)
