400w MH OR 400w hps

if its an old solid door,you can shave 1/2 inch off the bottom.it will look like someone had a deep shag carpet in the room
new or old,you can buy a vent cover like the ones used for forced air heat and cover the hole in the door

thanx man so the story is i still have to put a hole in the top for the exaust fan to properly function ?im going to be using that smell jell and another anti smell set up i gat off of another sight to keep the smell downso would leaving the door ajar for intake and circulation be ok and if so will i lose a lot of my light source in doing so?? ty

the space my freind is 2.5 feet deep 4 feet width 6.5 feet tall actual used space im still considering using the open door method as someone told me about yesterdy but im still open for all other suggestions thanx for taking the tiome to get back at me... i should be finish with the whole set up in two days im still waiting on my mylar bro never order from 24/7 it really takes 24 days and 7wishes geez but that the hold up..on pics

hhmmmmmmm. thats tricky. can you cut holes or anything? maybe build a small box setup lining the walls but only make it like 2x3x5 install some 4 or 6" flanges. one on bottom for passive intake with elbow pvc pipe for light block. then one 6" hole at top with diy carbon filter they're not hard to make just use 6 in duct fan with it heres a link https://www.rollitup.org/indoor-growing/7074-easy-build-diy-carbon-filter.html except the guy on here is pushing the air through i hear its better to pull air through so in order like room>filter>fan>outside box/tent

idk if that would really solve the problem come to think you'd need fresh air idk maybe just open a few times a day i've heard thats okay, or cut small little 4" holes in wall by intake holes with pvc connecting to holes in wall for fresh intake you could stealthy cover those too. then you'd just have to open the doors to get the crap air your exhausting in there a few times a day if ya got the time

Hey its been a while fellows but im back and ready to roll sorry my friends but i had to get rid of the 400watter i know i know but whats a guy to do that heat was just unmanageable for me..so this is what i did i ordered a 250watt hps and ill be using cfls 2700/6500 to handle most of all my seedlings and vegative stages ive done some long studying and there are some very impressive grows under the right cfl setup alone so i fugure with the combination of both in the flowering stages i cant lose? lol and most importantly i can control the darn heat..i built myself a very cool little grow box from all things a grand wardrobe box from u-haul its 2'x2'x5' i'll get some pics up soon.. so there you have it i'll be germing today 2x papaya 2x white rhino and with all the homework ive done i hope it goes well but i hope it smokes better...peace pot prosperity...

I agree with most of whats here but this is something maybe you can use.

Ceramic Metal Halide bulb. It runs off a HPS ballast and it Rocks!
You can truly veg and flower well with one light.

I am doing a test grow right now in a cabinet and they are just finishing.
38,000 lumen's and if you look at the spectrum you will see it covers both with added UV rays

i was looking at your place where you ordered your light and they dont have one to fit an mh ballast 400 watts.. this is an mh that works with hps ballast correct? thanx....ppp

Thats what so different about this bulb. You need a HPS ballast.

ok so here we go at last got my babies germing in the bed and my box finally set up to good standards and im ready to roll and let me say thanks to all that helped me over the last month or so with all my questions thanks for putting up with me so here you go.. this box yes is going to be used for veg and flowering i have adjustable removable light racks that ill manuver with each step in the progress.. to start once my babies can go under the lights ill be running 2x42 watt cfl 2700k along with 4x26 watt 6500k for the veg cycle once i go to flower ill up the output to 6x 42 watt 2700k along with 6x26 watt 6500k ive tested tried and true letting it run for two days none stop with a water bucket inside and my temps and humidity was dead right 78-82 temp and 45-55% humidity im running a single exaust 180cfm at the top and a passive intake at the bottom 3" each the over all diminsions are 2x2x4.5 i have 1 circulating fan run at all times and a desk fan aimed atthe lights just in case of future problems with heat..im germing 2x nl and 2x skunk.. looking to have a good grow and lots of fun and good smoke to go along with it..oh im using a dwc 4 pot unit i do have other seeds germing because id hate to get 3 males out of these and only have i ladie to take care off..next time ill simply go with feminized so il know what i got so in the mean time heres the pic's and ill be back when there is some activity going on thanks to you all..roseman,purp, and all wish me green lol

also i failed to mention that the box is very light proof for flowering i just have it cracked open at the time of first pic when its shut its dark. peace pot prosperity
