How close are you keeping the tops of the plant to the light? I would like to know as I'm using a 400w setup aswell.

8-12 inches should be fine if using a air cooled reflector then 6-8 inches

curing... cut them down, dry them, and then throw those nugs in a mason jar, opening it for like 10 minutes to recycle fresh air everyday for about 2 weeks (mind you, you can sample as much of the bud as you want in this time, but curing longer makes the taste more potent)

Yuk! I found I had a narly spider mite infestation! Luckily I am only about a week from harvest, and they dont seem to have done that much damage at all, so fuck! The way I chose to treat this was to lolipop the crap outa the plants. Next watering is going to be all fresh, and then the starvation diet, so I honestly think I got really lucky!
The mites dont seem to go for the reisonated bud leaves, but rather the fan leaves, so I didnt have to do any trimming of the nugs. Consequentially, by doing this early trimming, I reduced the amout of work Ill have cropping next week.

I have a 400watt and a grow tent and 5 18 litre (around 5 gallon) sq pots preti much same as yours that im going to setup soon! Really good to see what it can do beforehand!

Just a couple pics and a quick update:
Spidermites are a bitch this late in the game! I cant believe I didnt notice earlier!
I have trimmed a ton of foliage in response to the mites/pre-harvest.
I would guess by the color of the main colas I have about 1 week left under the light and then its time to chop. I have considered cropping over time because some of the side colas are more done then their mains, but I havent decided on procedure.

lol a pound would be awesome from a 400w. Im gonna grow bigbudxnorthernlights hopefully thats a high yeild. Under a 400 also. 4x4. might do up a grow journal but im to paranoid about cops n shit.
