It's getting hot here day by day. Guess wd need the oscillating fan soon. For now. Today my temps hit 90F so had to raise the light from 6 inches from plants to 15 inches. Now it's around 80F.

nice stuff

what nutes are you using right now?
if they're the GG standard hydro nutes, how much and how often are you feeding?
I just finished running a test grow with their nutes but it was on a different strain...
still understanding how to best use it...it seems to have all the basic necessities in both
when you combine Bloom and Grow nutes but somehow their mix of the Grow A and Grow
B are not how i'd expect...first chem grow, and i'm still thinking organic is better...i don't generally
add perlite as i grow them outdoors and the water just evaporates too fast, gets
too fucking hot these days...doing a grow with lots of seeds i'm getting from different
grower friends across the globe...the seedlings i mentioned are a friend's cross between
easy ryder and a gambian landrace, now at the F4 generation...just picked 12/25 seedlings
based on root growth...i will start a new thread soon for all these new seeds once i get
my new camera next month...i'm just vegging each batch of seeds for 2 weeks then planting
another batch...temme how the autos turn out, this is my first time growing autos to be honest....
and man does lighting make a difference, you should see my seedlings crawl towards the
cfl lights...dont have space for better ones though so it'll do...

in my experience autos generally show sex around the fourth node or so
unless you top them or something, not advisable with autos anyways...

first time i'm seeing an indian plant growing under more than 12/12, seems
to be responding well...you don't want to grow it under 18/6 for too long though,
under 12/12 from seed indoors it reaches 6 feet with supercropping, topping,
and lst, this was an organic grow...you might wind up with a ridiculously unmanageable
plant...my plants under 12/12 from seed during the winter grow crossed 7 feet...i was
considering lsting and topping/supercropping it, but the plant seemed to take care of it
on her own...

somango is slow untill it establishes a good root system, even then its yield is
supposed to be small...soma and subcool are a couple of examples of breeders
who breed purely for potency and flavour, keeping yield as an added bonus if it
happens to be passed on to the next generation.

also as for feeding your autos...combine the grow and bloom ferts...during growing
as far as GG nutes go 90:10 Grow:Bloom works well...as they show sex switch to 70:30
then 50:50 the next week, next week 30:70 till pistils start turning brown, then go 10:90...
flush during the last week...

good luck, if you're in bangalore what kind of music are you into
Instead of using the general grow n bloom nutes from GG, you might get better results with their nutes which are specifically formulated for growing tomatoes. Coz I remember reading somewhere that the nutrient requirements for cannabis and tomatoes are the same. Also saw it on an episode of weeds! But the only thing is that their tomato nutes come only for 500 L solutions.

Yo i got 3 easy ryder fem's and 1 dna genetics 60 day auto. Only doing autoflowers for my first grow since ill be leaving town by june and i really want to have some bud by then :D its the 5th day and i can just see the seedling has reached the surface but it looks so tiny, is it fine to leave it under the sun for 1/2 a day and then cfl's through the night?

That ph meter looks really nice! i think ill order that soon as i get my next month's cash. How're your autos doing?

don't put your seedlings under the sun...normally it'd be fine, indian sun is ridiculous...at least in bangalore it is right now, even half my indian seedlings can't take it...it's proving to be a good method to accelerate the survival of the fittest process, but not a smart idea unless you're planning on breeding or you have a lot of seeds...i do want to breed so it's diff for me...keep em inside for 2 weeks, then put em outside with something that's pretty much transparent covering them, it should make the sunlight a little less harsh. after those first 3 weeks they can generally take the sunlight...even then you may find some shriveled up as the day comes to a close...

this week for us is about 32C all week long prediction, and it's been around there...about 90F...probably not ideal for the pots of pot but the unfit to grow must go.

also, blackhawk, you're not into more psychedelic music? downtempo, psybient, psygressive, dark psytrance, hi tek, forest, etc. ?

i'm going to be buying the advanced nutes from plant genome to test it out...they're reliable o wat
jungle juice GMB as well as sensi cal/mg just in case...
hmm i don't think you'll have to worry about expensive cal mag solutions...garden guru sells their own
packet of micronutrients, as well as something by Sterling Gardens (nitroplex or some shit i don't remember)
and one by biofarm called BioFarm Micro (only advisable if you're going organic)

All plants look good, the indian strains are stretching a lot i have no idea why while the two autos are pretty dense. They have hit 90 digs lots of times in last one week, its so hot i have no idea what to do. anyways they still seem to be doing well.

Here is a shabby hood i made yesterday in two minutes by cutting some aluminum tubing.

your indians are only going to stretch more much much more. if you're growing the indians with the autos you're going to wind up with a very uneven canopy. the indian plants are stretching because they're genetically predesigned to do that...it's not stretching technically, it's more like continuing to grow...in their natural habitat they get 12/12 or so year round so regardless of the switch to 12/12 or not, their growth pattern will continue until the plant is 'old enough' to flower vigorously. even that will take a long process. i have seen a few grows of colombian landraces indoors at 12/12 from seed, they take about 18-20 weeks to finish, around the same time as our indian landraces outdoors. so indoors may take 22 weeks or so. with no veg if the colombians reach 6ft indoors and my indians reach 7~ feet outdoors, keeping things like pot size aside, i think you can certainly expect ~3 more feet of growth, although as I said I have no idea how these would grow indoors.

take clones just after you see the preflowers. get root-max from GG it's a solid cloning gel (slime? sludge? watery powder?). similar in texture to a a really really rough facewash, one of those ones with little pieces of minerals or whatever the fuck it is...

also, NLXJACK started flowering today.

HELP NEEDED,

NLXJACK has started developing some silver dust on some leaves.
SOMANGO has 3 lower leaves tips dried and they are crumbing and falling.

DID a flush on both yesterday.

Probably just put em along side other plants and LST n stuff to make em look less like Weed. Where I grow mine, I hang a 3 X 1.5 board on the grill, so next doors domestic helps cant see em. I do take it down from 4-6:30 tho, since thats when the Sun beams from that direction. I'm also gonna hang cherry tomato plants where the board is, so doesn't really look like I'm tryna hide anything. I don't really think I have to do all that.. I mean we would smoke there all the time lol but better safe than sorry..
