Eh, not that much of a hang up at all. Let me explain please..
It doesn't matter where the product is made as long as it is made well and using quality components.
Gavita, Luxx, Grower's Choice, FloraFlex, I could keep going all day long..... they are all made overseas. No matter what you hear, they are, made overseas. Not Holland either, cough cough (Gavita). So are most LED companies, otherwise they would be charging you double, like, well, I'm not going to name drop them, but they were already mentioned in this post (good company though).
Even the companies that do manufacture in the US... where do you think they buy their Samsung LEDs from? Or their Meanwell Drivers, etc? How bout their wiring and what not? Think they manufacture all that stuff here in the US? Nope. It's all manufactured overseas. They just buy it in HUGE bulk and then assemble the lights with these components here in the US and then they charge you more because they have to.
Now for all of you that know about US LED chip companies, well yes, you can buy USA LEDs (Not Samsung)... but they are double the price and not as good (or maybe just compare to Samsung).
My point here is, if you are using a computer that you paid $1000 for that was manufactured in China or Malaysia, what have you... and you are comfortable buying that, knowing it isn't going to crap out on you. Knowing that the quality is not shit, that it is actually really good quality. Then you may as well get over the fact that the LED light you are about to buy was manufactured and assembled overseas as well. It's not a big deal.
The US company that buys the lights, is a real US company, they have obviously done all the leg work for you, so why not trust them?
Just do your checks like I mentioned in my last reply - Company uses quality components, is a USA company, has good par maps, has warranty and maybe check their customers success or lack their of.
No disrespect to your choice in lights or the company that makes them whatsoever, but Plizon isn't the best choice of lighting. Yes, it is a great light and the price is absolutely stellar. 1) It's not a US company, yes its on Amazon but it's not a US company 2) They don't use lm301b chips, they do the usual China thing and use a higher number of lm301D or lm301Z chips (probably Z, sorry dude). 3) Their bars and drivers are in fixed positions, IE: they can not be detached. For the driver, that means the heat coming from it can not be moved, its just going to stay there, like a Luxx or a Gavita. Eh, whatever I guess but I really like being able mount/hang my driver separately from the bars. For the light bars.... that really sucks, because if during their warranty 1 of their bars goes out or starts flickering or something, you are stuck taking down your light and shipping it in for a new one 1-4 weeks later. TRUST ME, your plants don't like when there is no light to use LOL (happened to me with KIND LED, FU KIND LED!). And if this were to happen, who pays for shipping the light back? Who pays for shipping the replacement? Ahhhh now the warranty small print really comes into play (did I mention FUCK YOU 'KIND LED'?!?!?! lol). I always always recommend buying lights with detachable parts for this reason... and check the warranty! USA companies are much more willing to pay for these types of things, Chinese companies? No, they will not pay for a full light to go back to China and a new full light to be shipped to you.
Buy from US companies
Forgive my terrible grammar and blabbering, madd coffee today
