4th Official Party Cup Grow off Registration

Count me in this time around. Done party cups before but If I just throw one in my flower room I can give it the attention it needs to get this going.

Question do you have to start with 5 seeds? what if you use fem seeds and only plant two or something?

I think a lot of cups say the OZ's on the bottom. Maybe a picture of that to confirm you cup size or at least the bag with size and matching cup.

Also what is the deal with using two cups? Like say a 16oz for the root zone and an 18oz around that cup that is just empty?

Looks like no one has any problems with it, then i sure don't.. no reason not to join in..
We might learn that the 13/11 works better than the 12/12..
Thats why I like the comps, always learn new things..

So it looks like you have to particapate in the compation now...

Yes, start germinating after Feb 1. The judging is basicly up to the other contestants, you might not have the highest weight but your plant/buds might look better, so it is judged on personal preference so it stays pretty fair.

Join in, no one really sees a problem with 13/11. As long as there is no veg time your alright. These comps are more of a learning thing for everyone so it might be good to see how a 13/11 grow goes.

You can start with only one seed if you like, I started with only one last time. We just say 5 so some one doesnt plant 100 looking for that special plant. As for the cup size, most packets have the size written on the outside so a photo of the cup/packet size iis usually ok. The other contestant are usually pretty quick at calling foul if they see anything not right (Fran, Psu). The 2nd cup around the outside is the same size, i used it so when i watered it acts like saucer to catch the excess water.

Hopefully we see the Dawg enter so we can see a hydro cup in action. Anyone else can do a hydro cup if there up for the challange, you just have to keep the root mass within the cup.

Sign me up. I've got seeds to pop. I'll do one of my LA Confidential crosses I'm currently testing. Will be either LA Con x Girl Scout Cookies <OR> LA Con x Green Ribbon. Coco/Perlite under LED (assuming I can get my LED Cal-Mag issues sorted out in the next month), drain to waste or possibly ebb & flow. The Green Ribbon cross would be a better yielder, but the GSC cross is likely to be frostier. Decisions decisions..

I know it has nothing to do with the comp but it's 50deg C here today in the sun. That's 122deg F. :-!

Sunlight is not allowed? Are we allowing Feminized seeds?

Dendrophilly , yes feminized seeds are allowed but no sunlight, just indoor lights.

BTW were having one of the coldest winters in decades here in the NE and sundays game SF @ GB could be the coldest NFL game EVER at -51F !!!!(w windchill)....puff must be worried about his team.

well it looks like i will be joining for a 4th time lets hope i can persevere through this time! So far it looks like i wont be that busy for the next 3 months so we'll see. For those of you who dont know i did start the 12/12 from seed party cup competition tradition in the LED sub - section ... a brand spanking new light used to be the prize for the winner and I am glad to see that jimjim managed to get us another great prize for the winner.

DAMN it's so hard to post an update every Saturday I dont know that I can do it and I am serious HAHA!! ok well for now anyway I have no where to do my update so what!? sorry by the way I thought for sure we were allowed to start any time, if it was too early to start my seeds simply count me out of the competition!! I think I have BlueSage X Dr.G and 2 Revolution X (SB X NYCD) I suspect the bluesage x dr.g to be fem seed otherwise it's different lineage!

You can start now according to Jim, but officially it starts feb 1........... just post in the 4th official update thread^^^link in Jim's post, DON"T drop out!!!

Always like to see what the growers are coming with before I start.......well this winter has been a bitch so far, so I'm definitely waiting it out..
