Ok to start off here is a picture of the led on from the plants height. I have it ten inches above the canopy.

I am running each LED at 1.5A on a fixture I made myself.

I have a heatsink from heatsinkusa and a 15cfm 1inch computer fan. The junction temp is 50 deg C all the time.

From there I took four and mounted them on a pvc frame to hang of a 2x2ft area.

It looks messy and I went through a million designs finally deciding on this one.

My idea is that the fixture hangs four lights over a two by two. The fixture height is adjustable along with every led on the fixture.
So I can use each led for a 1x1 scrog net and adjust the height according to how the plant is along. I also made a custom NFT bucket that holds 1 plant for each 1x1. But I wont share that just yet :)

All and all the plants love this light!

EDIT:

I forgot to say this cost me 350 in expenses all put together! It also weights exactly 5 pounds

I justcame up on some skunk seeds, im about to go to the store to buy party cup. I only have room in my cfl veg tent but soon will be getting Area 51 led, this ok?????

Yes mate, your right, I think you were already registered. I'd just wait till you A-51 arrives to germ then you don't have to listen to anyone that your cheating. :)

what all did you get? How big is the filter?

I may get one. I'm debating between that and a phresh filter. I can get a 6x16 phresh filter for $110 with shipping from growers house.
 
Hahaha red, i like competing agianst asses like you, you said you got a gator filter? I think ill rather have yours then a new one! Not that im shooting for third, i just prefer reds equipment, makes a much sweeter victory! I. Sure others would agree ;)
 
I made the hard decision to. I don't believe (yet) that comparing GG to Phresh is like comparing Chinese LEDs to Area 51. I got the 3 pack of liners, 6" flange adapter (should come with this), and awesome 'big things come in small packages' filter. I've read nothing but great stuff about GG, from product to staff. I'm pleased with spending a little more to get the best. Plus you have flexibility in connecting them. Trust me, I'll post an honest review here within weeks. I'd be glad to win another one!

so if phresh is equivalent to chinese leds... can , htg, phat, acticve air, dura breeze, all those companies would be equivalent to candle light then. phresh filters are better than all those.... this is your first filter right?


I'll most likely get a gator. I just want to make the right choice.

I thought I would start getting things squared away, one big question came to mind- Can I use the '51 SGS over my partycup, w/ the swtich between AW and WR. Single light source, just a switch option. eh, ehhhh? There's plenty of arguments in both directions but no questions I will respect your wishes Master Jimbob.
