4x4 250 mH w/ CFLS for full spectrum? Or stick with 400 W Super HPS +rep

Hey guys,

Quick question, so I am currently running a 400 HPS (Super HPS) for a 4x4 grow cab. It is vented and everything, so heat is not really an issue. My question is, to get faster growth and denser buds, would it be more efficient to hook my 250 mH bulb back up and supplement the corners of my cannopy with vertically hanging ( or hooded, does not matter) 24 W cfls? Since I run a cooltube w/ reflectors, I do not think that my canopy is getting even light distribution.
I know my HPS puts out more of a yellow light, but I hear the CFL reds of 2000-2700 K are awesome for growth in comparison to just a yellowish tinge. So with my 6500 K mH and some supplemental CFL's I feel that I can possibly get better growth with a full spectrum provided. I am just looking to get the most bang for my buck growing indoors in Hawaii, at .43 cents a KWH, electricity is a precious commodity. BTW, get this alot, I grow indoors due to kids ripping me off.
Any insight is appreciated and + rep

i do it indo in HI and i would recommend that if you can keep the heat down like you said, then keep the 400. i would even add the 250 in bloom to help make those buds even more solid. don't forget to wait until the plant is done lol i always have a problem with that one. aloha
