4x4 for 7 plants?

Hi all I currently have a 600w hps kit and no tent,I have 7 plants waiting to be rehomed into a new tent,from my shed.
My question is would there be enough room in a 4 foot by 4 foot for the seven plants.
I'd imagine they will probably be small and I expect little yield due to me being brand new to growing, if it's to small of a space what would you recommend size wise and what bulb to go with the 600w, I have a limited budget so led bulbs are out of the window. Thanks for any advice given.

So basically a plant a square foot. I'll put the rest outdoors if I can't manage to acquire a tent and light in budget. Thanks for the info.

Depends on the size of the plants. I run 9 plants in my 4x4, works fine. If you went SOG style you can fit a lot more than 4 (or 9) in a 4x4. If you veg for 6 months, you're probably going to have issues with 4 plants in a 4x4.

A 4x4 is 16 square feet, so 4 plants would be 4 square feet each, not one.

Omg I've just had to Google this and yes you're correct and I'm pretty dumb thanks for the information can tell I never excelled at school

When I was growing for profit, I had 25 per light. Each light covered a 4x4 area. You just gotta flip them sooner and trim off lower branches. I was consistently getting about 1.25lbs per light 25 years ago.

You just have to be smart about it and not let them get too big in veg. 7 plants will be fine.

OK thank you, it's for personal use only as sick of people taking the p#*s out of me as im not the sharpest. They are still small so should be ok to flip to flower by time the tent arrives next week.
