In a 4x4 tent light by a 600Watt HPS how many plants can I flower in 3 gallon pots?

I would really like to flower 8 natural plants. I would put 4 plants in every month. I would place the new smaller 4 in the center and kick the old four out to the sides. The idea is to make the best use of my light and have a harvest every month rather than every two months.

Does this make sense or are there to many plants? Would I be better off just harvesting every two months.

Also how many watt MH would I need in a veg room to support this flower room?

Thanks for any help, I'm still pretty new to this but I think I'm getting my plan dialed in. This site has been a great help.

I was gonna say eight too unless your doing clones and only veging them for 2 weeks then you could cram in like 12 in some square 3 gallon pots . MOre plants less yield but more overall yield with 4 extra plants .

I'm going to grow mothers until they are mature, then take clones and veg them to about 18-22 inches.

I want a few big plants rather than lots of little plants, to stay legal.

Does any one have an opinions on moving the older plants to the corners and putting the newer plants in the center?

I would really like to harvest 4 plants a month rather than 8 every two months, but if its going to cut down on yield I'll just harvest 8 every two.

More is not always better my friends. Leave room in that 4x4 area. I would like to say that your 8 plant idea is a good one. Yes you should put the younger ones in the middle and the older ones towards the outside. As light gets farther from its source it ripples out quite quick. There is a sticky post on here somewhere that would be really useful I just dont have it on hand right now.

Good luck on your grow!

Thanks for the reply's

Smoka, I'm actually going to get a 5x5 tent but I'm only going to grow in a 4x4 portion. I want to have room like you said. Makes it easier to water and place a little oscillating fan etc.
