The negative pressure causes the tent walls to cave in.
Yeah it was a tight fit, I have a 4 x 4 tent also nd I did my first indoor grow. I did 6! plants way to tight, bt next grow sticking to 3 maybe 4 next time

Its worth it for me to grow and i have stupid and i mean stupid electricity prices, im talking 140$ a month per kw of light in flower.
What strains did you previously run for 3zips a plant?

A 600hps + 250mh is plenty in a 4x4! Hell 1kw in a 4x4 can get tricky with some strains, what did you not like?

Just the light spread of the 600, I try to get it closer to the plant but then I sacrifice light spread, and the plants under the 250 (mind it's a my) buds where kinda small, they were in 5.5 in pots, prolli should of went bigger maybe

I do 6 plants in 5g cloth pots in my 4x4 tent no issues. I use a 600w and coverage seems pretty good. Veg for 3-4 weeks. This time i just topped and trained, last run I did a scrog and had good results with only 3 plants. Scrog from now on for me. Your friend has no idea what he is talking about. Growing yourself is so worth it, saves so much cash. Yes the start up costs is high but if done right the cost can be kept down and you will see your investment back after 1-2 harvests. Now if you only smoke a little once in a while the growing does not make much sense.

The tent should suck in with a good exhaust fan that is normal and desired. The negative pressure keeps the smells inside the tent and gets scrubbed by the carbon filter. My tent sucks in then when the ac kicks on it ballons out.

Yeah my last power bill was $430! Nearly pissed myself. I run my hps off peak hours too. Dam power company wont let me put up solar panels, fucking monopolists. They dont want to pay me for the extra power I would be feeding back to the grid. Still do the math for me and my wife we go through a 1/4 at least a week. $80 a week x 4.5 average weeks in a month thats $360 to buy bud from a medical dispensary or around $250 for an oz. Keep in mind the power bill is not all from the grow theres the general house uses ie lighting, appliances ect, i live in a large 2 story 2300sft house with 2 AC units, a hot tube, summer temps over 100°f so my bill is not too bad given my situation. Still fucking high though.

My local electric co. is giving me a huge pita trying to run solar too, apparently they are the only company out here that can "approve" off grid/house modification from a 3rd party company. They just take their sweet ass time for the approval because they don't want to loose the money. I've heard they sometimes take 16-24 months for a stupid approval.

Yep mine straight said no. Its fucked up because where i live its sunny most of the year.
