Hey guys last run I used a Super Sun 2 hood from sun systems with a 600w hortilux and I got great results. However I noticed the the spread was more like a rectangular pillar of light then a uniform 4x4 spread.

So I am considering upgrading my hood in order to cover a 4x4 tent with the most effective 600w spread. The choices I have come up with are as follows:
Magnum XXXL 6" Dimensions: 32 1/2" long x 26 1/4" wide x 7 3/4" tall.
Blockbuster 6" Dimensions: 25 1/2" long x 25 1/2" wide x 10" tall.
Or should I just stick with the
Super Sun 2 6" Dimensions: 26 ¼" long x 13" wide x 8 " tall.

At the moment I am leaning towards the Block buster because it's L and W dimensions are exactly the same so theoretically it should put out the most even light spread, however I have heard the Magnum XXXL 6" gives off an excellent spread as well. Ah the choices.

Blockbuster 6" all the way bro. I have a perpetual 2 4x4 tent setup and have the blockbuster 6" w/ a 600hps hortilux as well in both. Couldnt be happier with the results. The hood is specifically made for the 4x4 tent, so how could you go wrong? BTW: im guessing your air cooling your reflector since your in a tent?? but if your not, id go with the "adjust a wing" for the best coverage. hope this helps

Thanks for your reply man! Ya I air cool my SS2 so I'll definitely air cool my new hood when i decide witch one to get. I am indeed leaning to the block buster. It is indeed made just for the 4x4 tent. So you really like the light spread. Got any pictures by chance?

I was over at bghydro.com today chatting with one of their online tech guys and I asked him which reflector is the best. His answer: Blockbuster.

Wow thanks for doin that renyman. I am definitely leaning towards the block buster at the moment. The site even says its perfect for a 4x4 area. That entices me a lot. When I go to my hydro store today I'm gonna ask them what they think as well. I like to get lots of different opinions before i make my choices. Thanks again for askin bghydro!

Is the blockbuster spread as good or better than the adjusta wing?
Could i run 6 x adjusta wings in a sealed 13x11 room with no exaust and an 8ooobtu ac?
Or would exaust be manditory with that amount of heat.
thanks a mill HBR

Get a reducer bro. Shits like 5 bucks.
but the problem is... i would need a 4 inch reducer... i dont know where the hell this thing was made but the ducting holes have to be 5 inches because for the life of me i cannot get my ducting through ive tried to even bend it to get it in and then cut the bent part off but that wouldnt even work...

using a 6 inch fan going in a reducer wont that screw my fan up from having resistance? i mean it is a cheap active air one.. but i would still like to keep it because its fairly new...
