Ok... My situation is that i have a 600w running... Humidity is fine...

i have no in/out ventilation.... NONE.... Only air coming in is throught the flaps... And no place for it to come out... Temps outside the tent are 65-67f...

my temps got a bit higher than my first trial and went up to 87f. I will get an extraction fan but i cant afford it till next pay.... Can i continue like this for another week????? Please help.

I would at least leave the tent door open a bit and have a fan blowing in, perhaps at the light until you can get a proper ventilation setup.

Do you have access to a window mounted air conditioner? If you do then jerry rig some duct work from it to your hood, or at least into your tent. Maybe a friend could let you borrow one?

Even if your tent temps stay usable, your bulb can still blow if it gets to hot in the hood.

I would at least try and like rig a trash bag/plastic bag to the back of a fan and hook it up to some duct work to pull a little air into your tent. Or even just some kind of fan putting some positive pressure into your tent, and having one side of your hood open with duct work coning out the other side so that you are moving a little air through that hood and out.

how long was the trial? I think it might become an oven
Yeah i was worried here to.... After 18hrs with hps on the highest it got was 87.4f....

So for anyone else reading this thread....

IF you have a 4x4x6 tent with and hps600w inside and a 30cm oscillating fan with no intake or outake fans and outside temps of 60-65f your tent can stabilise under 90f.... I know because mine is doing it right now... I have no air cooled hoods or any ducting or any fans other than the fan circulating the air around the plant... My plant looks healthy and with the help of a dehumidifier when the humidity gets high i could go like this to harvest... But alas im getting a fan in the next few days so i wont have to.... Was an interesting experiment though....

so to answer the question..."do i have to vent a 4x4x6 tent with 600hps... The answer is yes.... But sometimes no ;)"

Your temps are 90f at the plant tops while the plants are tiny.

If they were full grown, most of the plants would be frying (90f is already frying, I'm just pointing out that it would be even worse than that).

If they were in flower, you would have whack buds.

Fortunately it sounds like you're situating your ventilation system soon so you wont have to find out first hand if I'm right or not.

Ventilation sorted...crisis averted....although i maintain what i said.... And NO frying took place whole thing looks good.

Passive intake through lower flaps 4" extraction fan temps are steady at 70f.

flowering now.
