4x8 Tent Set Up-HPS AND BIG YIELDS

that’s prettt decent and is exactaly what I need. I want to pull off like yours under the conditions I posted at the top of the forum. You thinks that’s possible with a 6 week veg and 7 week flower? I’m honestly looking for more quantity than quality this time around.

I would estimate around 9 weeks flowering time just to be safe.
 
youre not done when you chop. you're gonna need to dry for a couple weeks. then trim. then cure for a couple weeks, burping the jars every day.

with some of the questions you ask, I dont quite know if you have the experience of knowledge to pull this off. what are you going to feed them? do you know how to diagnose and treat issues? What if you get pests? Those will all set you back in time and yield.

Exactly, I have 6 plants 4.5 weeks in veg right now. started from seed 4 are doing great and 2 have minor problems hopefully they don't get worse but that's why I do 6 plants. Stuff can happen fast and you need to be on top of it.

There is definitely more that can go wrong than right. It's wise to study up and go in expecting very little and that way you can be surprised if you get good yields.

Do everything you can to not introduce pests. If I have been outside I shower and change clothes before going into my grow room.

Less is often more, the temptation to over feed, water too often, prune too much are all big no no's.

When you think it's done, wait a few more weeks. Harvesting early is something most growers do their first time. Don't do it.

Harvesting and drying is important and you should be ready for some hand cramps from trimming.

I've been growing indoors for 20 years and have seen the good the bad and the ugly..

I have been growing indoors since 1989 so I have seen some shit too. I have never done an outdoor run and never will. Too many variables that you can't control.

I started outdoors in 1982 guerrilla style and got tired of having to hike harvest and get it back to my house.

Yes I’m asking these dumb ass questions only because I waited too long to buy my seeds and now I on a serious timer.
 
THey're not dumb questions, I"m just trying to help you understand you might not have a total grasp on all that is required to raise healthy plants from seed to finish in a quite restrictive timescale. Its going to be an expensive failure if you do not pull it off.

edit: i'm talking like if you invest all-in on your setup for proper lights, ventilation, everything, it will be cheaper to reschedule your vacation than fuck up your harvest.

Yah your right. Worse case scenario I can move my plants to a friends house meanwhile I’m gone.
 
hahahahha no. that is just the beginning of the worst case scenario.

for that to work, your friend would have to be a more experieneced grower than yourself to jsut be able to pick up whereever you left off, assuming that they were 100% problem free when you dropped them off. Do they have all that space and lighting? pretty unrealistic to think you're gonna break down and move a 4x8 grow in the middle/end of flower and bounce back fully.

again, i'm not saying all of this to shit in your cereal. I just think theres a lot of unforseen unknowns that new growers will (like myself) get hung up on. TO best succeed be able to be there the entire time and not rushing it along. you may just have to wait til your vacation is over.
 
Have your friend help from the start, if it's someone you trust. When your on vacation this person will have to be there every day when lights come on and again before lights go off. They need to know how to adjust lights humidity and temps also watering feeding etc. Big responsibility.

Many years ago my mom said "get your damn pot plants off the shed roof and find another place off the fn property to put them, the insurance assessor is coming tomorrow"... good times. .lol
