soil looks real high on the clay side .. your probally gonna have to feed these pretty regular . I would also consider some chicken wire or fencing to keep the deer n bunnies away ... they love the younguns . They look like they may not be getting enough light ( kinda stretchy ) or where they already like when you transplanted ? looks fairly healthy on the newgrowth though ... have you started feeding them yet ? they might could use a nitrogen too ... not to sure though . Good luck ... take good care of em and they will do the same for you someday

thanks man! the soil is pretty good i guess. it gets dry but when i water it i can tell it soaks in good. i did a layer of nice garden soil where our veggies are and mixed in a little (fertilizer) or horse manure with it. they get nice sun light all day from sun rise to sunset. the weather has been in the 100's the past 3 days but i have made sure to water twice daily.

When is it better to let the plants deal with the animals and remove the chicken wire? I have deer, elk, bunnies, etc. My plants are in a raised bed on a rocky hill (mountains). They are just over three months old and still vegging. I want them to grow huge. Will the wire hinder their growth when the lower nodes reach, which is starting to happen now?
