Don't skimp on the dirt in your solo cup. More dirt = larger root zone.

thanks guys, yeah shouldve added a little more soil....what do you guys think about bottom feeding with water?

If you bottom feed with just water you will leech out N-P-K and micro's. Don't use just water unless you want to flush right before harvest, then it would be a great idea! 
Mix up a well balanced organic tea with kelp instead. Worm castings is always good and is odorless. During flower you need something with phosphorus and potassium.
