5 weeks into veg... how much longer till i should start flowering? pics included!!

Hey all, this is my first grow about 5 weeks in from start of seed! Started the seeds out on cfl's and have had them under a 250watt MH and 4 75watt cfls for the past 4 weeks! All 3 are about a foot tall already! Was wondering when I should start them into the flowering stage!! I will be running my HPS conversion bulb for the flowering process. This is my first grow so tell me what you guys think.

YOur pics did not show up! At least on my computer anyways.

If you have no height restrictions, then let them grow until you see pre-flowers, which means it has reached its sexual maturity.

If you have height restrictions, then start to flower now......but again, I did not see the pics.

your pics did not post for some reason. as for your question, you can choose to flower at any time. longer veg means a larger yield but obviously the tradeoff is time.

You can use the "Attachment" function to upload pics directly from your computer. It is found in the options included in the "New Post" page.

Yea dude post some pics. Just curious too see what they look like. You can start to flower them whenever you want. If you flower now, they will be about two feet tall when their done. Whatever satisfys you!

I always wait until the plant starts growing "alternating internodes". That's when the plant is sexually mature and is ready to flower.

I flower at 10 inches the end up at about 2 to 4 feet depending on the strain and its indica content. I flower Kali Mist from serious seeds props to the company on the dank genetics anyway i started flowering it at 8 inches and it got 5 feet so it all depends on how tall you want it. I use low watt hps for my grows have been for years 150 watt hps on two plants i pull in about 5 to 6 ounces per grow on indicas and 2 to 3 on sativas so i grow indica and if your not looking to get rich on your grow 5 to 6 ounces will last til the next grow is done i havent bought herb in 5 years

The question you have to answer is...how much herb do you want?
Do you want 1/2 to an oz. per plant? then flip the light schedule now.
If you want 3-5 oz. a plant, veg for another month or more.

they look tasty however i would let them go 3 or 4 more weeks before i flowered if i had the room .. you wont regret the added yield

the height of grow room is 8 foot but with the light hanging i would say 7 foot max.. I was thinking bout letting them veg atleat another week or so and then switch the light schedule. how do they look so far? i know they arent the greatest pics i will get some clearer ones of the nodes and new growths tommorow. any advice would be appreciated!!

they def. look good


if youve got 7 feet to work with, then well say a foot length from the light added in = 6 feet to work with

you can let em get like 2 or 2 1/2 feet tall before you flower them

but its your choice the more height b4 flower the more buds youll get

the choice is up to you, but id wait it out a little longer, that extra two weeks could = extra ounces
