So this baby sprouted about 5 weeks ago to the day. and shes about 6 inches tall... I have topped her and sent her into flower and shes been flowering for about 3 days. Hairs are forming around her. are these hairs the start of budding?

word.
I stunted the SHIT out of her by changing the light cycle EVERY day during vegitation for a 'mini plant'.

She'll probably yield about a gram :P lol

Dude, your plant is way too small to put into flowering. Wait for flowering until your plant is 18" at least. You'll get way more out of it. I'd be surprised if you get any buds from that plant in the picture.

lol, i already stated that plant is obviously not going to produce fruitful buds. and on a second note i grow ALL my plants from seed on a 12/12 light cycle.

you could try to revert back to veg and wait till she gets taller then switch to flower again.
for size reference, here are pics of my veg babies under UFO LED @ 3 weeks.
first pic is from 17 days from seeds, rest are 21 days:

how does that typically turn out?
Short in height, shorter time to wait untill harvest siince it starts producing buds early as hell. anddd it allows me to throw in new plants at any time without having a VEG room and a FLOWER room due to the light cycle change.

although there ARE negitives.. such as not tasting as good as it could, also the yield suffers, but not toooo horribly considering the quantity of plants i put in at any given time.

LEDS are wonderful for the commercial grower. You dont have to worry about the copters with heat recognition.
and your plants look quite nice ;)

but regarding my mini plant, i stunted her growth on purpose :P I was curious as to what the yield will be. Rest assured that the rest of my babies are treated beautifully and reach a height of 2+ feet :)

i just don't see why you wouldn't want to put all your time, efforts, and resources into getting the best buds you can.
but like they say, whatever floats your boat...

to be blunt, for commercial growers, we prefer quantity over quality. and the quality isnttttt that much different when using a 12/12. it allows you to double your growspace since they grow short and fast.

like if i were to want a couple plants for personal consumption i would grow them on a normal cycle and switch my HPS(bigger buds) lights to MH(more potent) lights.
