If you're really set on spending 50$ on a grinder... http://www.mendomulchers.com/ and you'll thank me later. I've had the 3" for a while now, and it's a solid grinder. A smaller one might would work better (unless you're grinding up a lot regularly). There's also cheaper plastic grinders that will generally grind well but can break some teeth. I stand by Mendo Mulchers though, and have liked mine better than anything and everything I have used (Space Case included). Plus, if you call in, you have a chance to speak to the guy that makes them!

I use a scissors, and then grind. I used to just cut it, but I shake a lot, and don't like clipping it that finely because my fingers will start to spasm, just like when I trim. I like to either smoke the bud, just plopped into the pipe or have a nice pile of finely ground weed for the pipe or papers. Grinding and then loose packing in the roller gives me nice, easy to smoke joints.



EDIT: Grinder was 15 dollars. Has the grinder, a drop down catch, and then a keif catch under that. My first grinder was a Mendo Mulcher, bought at Smokin' T's, right off the highway in Ukiah. That one was like 30.00.

Too bad that shop closed, she had some great locally made glass. I was inspired by it and still someday hope to learn to blow glass.

I think I paid $40 for my Diamond Grind about 4 years ago. Has held up nicely. It definitely has some scars, but that the beauty of a nice aluminum grinder. Takes a licking, and keeps on grinding. Always have a nice stash of kief in the bottom too. My only complaint is that I wish it had a slightly larger screen. Mine gets clogged up with kief very, very quickly. I use a small hair clipper style brush to keep it open, but that only lasts so long.
