500 watts HPS

do you guys think its enough for 1 plant a 500W hps will the plant get really big i have alot of space to grow it.. how much will i yield

500W for one plant is over-kill bro, pop at least 5 under that baby

Yield depends on more than just your lighting, what strain you got?

yeah I agree, 500w is a bit on the heavy side stick a few more under there to get the most from your light or just do two or three plants but LST them to get nice bushy trees with loads of juicy buds.

how far away should i put the light from the plant . its an indica its 3 weeks old very bushy

A good rule of thumb is:

Put your hand between the light and the tops of the plants and if you can hold it there for 1 minute without it getting to hot then your plants will be fine.

The question is what type of hood/reflector/cooltube do you have?

That will determine how far away you can put it

yea that will need to be at least 2 feet away or so. depending on your ventelation, air temps and such. you should have a fan on your plant/plants at all times.

its entirely possable to get alot off one plant with that light! it would be great! you would have to lst it, so it would be more like a bush with a bunch of tops coming off, you would need a really big pot, like a 7 gallon or so. veg it out for at least 2 months, longer if you have the room. or you could just do 5 or so plants smaller under the one light.
