5000K CFL's and Floros OK?

Hey CFLer's Anyone KNow, or use 5000K Bulbs before? They Any good for Veg?

I got a bunch sayin 5000K Full Spectrum......Just curious if i could use these for a new grow cab.
 
Just fine for veg, not so much for flower unless in combo withplenty of 2700k

Hey thanks, which is more effective during veg, 6500's or 5000K . I was looking at a chart and chlorophyll activity is at it's highest when exposed to 5600K spectrum? Can you back that up at all? Anyone can make a chart.
 
Seems this thread never got an answer. 6500k is best for veg. Although had a hard time finding them at the store. Ended up getting 5000k CFLs also.
 
I use a mix of 5000K 5500K 6000K and 6500K bulbs, all 25w to 27w, with a 2700K 42w bulb. I find day light bulbs to produce far stickier nugs during flowering than soft white bulbs. I think the whole soft white for flowering thing is more theory than practice. Try it for yourself, but I stick with day light bulbs the whole way through after trying both methods.
