I have 2 plants I just put on flower last week under two 250w blue cfl lights, does anyone think this is enough to light to grow some nice bud on them I am not fussed on the amount that comes off them as I hear blue spectrum creates nicer smoke...

Any one flower with cfl out there

Blue spectrum does not create a nicer smoke, it does however produce a far lower yield. I know this from personal experience

Im not sure why anyone would tell you that. Science and years of experience say the red end of the spectrum is better for flowering

I have seen it in posts, sure also in the bible but time will tell I have red bulbs to put in if I decide to change my mind...
Mainly this is just a test to see.if one strain is a selfed seed and the other doesn't hermie as the cuts from the hermie mother are ment to lose the hermie trait, I ended up with loads seeds last time but the smoke was lovely

Well,
UV-B RADIATION EFFECTS ON PHOTOSYNTHESIS, GROWTH AND CANNABINOID PRODUCTION. MH and CFL emit a little UVB Light, and HPS does not. If your MH lamp is in an enclosed air or water cooled fixture, the glass or water will absorb the UVB light, so you need use an unenclosed MH or 6000k - 5200k CFL for veg.
The small amount of UVB light that you get using CFL or an unenclosed MH lamp isn't worh the loss of potential flower growth. Your better off getting 2400k CFL for flower and they will emitt some UVB and you will be hitting the flowers with the right spectrum of light.
The best thing to do would be to buy a UVB emitting light, like a reptile light to use in conjunction with HPS or 2400k CFL
