55w in-- 250w output fluorescents

So if you type in cfl on googles shopping page these fluorescents lights that supposedly use 55 watts and put out 250 show up...

If this is true you could easily use 4 and have a thousand watts but only pull 220 watts?!

I use the The good stuff already but this would be great to veg under no?

it uses 55 watt but its equivalent to 250 incandescent watts. so you're only getting 55 not 250

He's getting the equivalent out put of 250 Incandescent and only drawing the energy required for a 55 watter

I thought he must be too, Dudes trying to rubbish peoples comments and is just out and out rude,

AAAAAAAnnnny way. I have a 55w CFL. Do yourself a favor and get more 30 watters. The heat output of the 55w is a lot and more lower wattage bulbs are better than fewer higher wattage bulbs.

#1 heat
#2 if a bulb breaks, you have more to compensate for the loss and its not as expensive to replace
#3 you can cover a bigger area with more lights for less money

I veg for about 8 weeks under CFLs of mixed spectrum, then flower them with T5s and a few CFLs on the side.
