5by5's 2nd RDWC grow

About halfway into week 5 and I am starting to see a red hair here and there. All looks well.
PH is dropping this year just like last year, but its not tanking low or anything. 6.0 to 5.6 in 24 hours. I don't think its abnormal.
I could get better at canopy management though. PPMs are around 470.

For some reason the red hairs dont show up against the intense light of the LEC. Ohwell.
Notice its gotten nice and chilly in there. RH is 40% max when it rains outside but usually stays near 30%.
I will not grow different strains in a rdwc again. It's not a big deal balancing the nutrients to suit, but the bigger problem is harvesting them all at once.
I would give it a week maybe two tops until its chop time. Might just harvest in stages this year, due to having two different strains.

EPIC FAIL
So, its been almost a month.....
Long story short......Since my last grow was so successful I feel I did not learn some important things. This can be evidenced by the complete and total failure of my grow this year in several aspects.
1. Bennies worked well for me last year, but not this year. After about a week or so my shit was slimed to hell. I mean slime on the buckets, slime on the stones, inside the pipes...everything. It was bad. Real fucking bad. I wish I got some pictures.
2. I used my rapid rooters from last year (stored sealed in the fridge). All my seedlings damped off. I replaced them with four other seeds and all but one of those damped off too.
So about June 25th I shut it down.

Back to the drawing board. Failure means learning so I chalked it all up to inexperience and started over, changing what I think needs to be changed in how I do things.
Is it the same genetics that you ran in the past? Some strains have more resistance and can handle DWC better than others.

Nah, completely different than my first grow. It was me, not the strains. I was sloppy. Had I handled them appropriately the result would have been much different.

I decided to let these go good and long. Make sure sure they are finished, I felt like I harvested early last year so....

My PH has been taking shits down to 4.9 or so the last few days. I have been dumping a lot of PH UP in there. No root rot or anything, I just think my system volume is too small for four large plants. Started out holding 20 gallons, I am lucky to get 13 in there now.
