I'm in the same boat, need a good flower light for 5x10... I'm considering going with 16 qb96 v2 with 4 hlg600h-54a or b drivers. Should come out less than $2k for 2400w at the wall. Anyone have thoughts on that setup?

I think that might have nutes in it . I use vita link coco , along with their 2 part feed . If I'm right a think it has enough feed for a week or 2 . You would have to read back of bag instead of just gannan to the shop , an just banging out questions when the answer is there in front of ya . Happy days

QB 96’s are great, each one covers a 2x2 so 15 QB 96’s on 3 600h drivers in 3 rows of 5 would be better suited for a 5x10. That’s still leaves you with at least 36w sq ft and the A series drivers can push over their rated spec.
How much light would you guys put in a 5x10?. been thinking 2x 1000w, or would 4x 600w be a better option?.
2x 1000w. A 1000w is intended to cover 5x5 whereas a 600w is intended to cover a 4x4. Even with 4x 600w you aren’t going to fully cover a 5x10

Me personally would use 3 600's . Straight inline down the middle, then if ya having any heat issues ya can always knock the middle one down or off if need be , ya should still get ya coverage off the two end ones , that's just me though .

Keep the canopy area at 3.5ft x 10ft and use 4x 315 CMH plus 4x 4 foot or 3x 2 foot Agromax or Solarcure UV tubes. This way you have access to actually work with the plants in that space, plus space for a reservoir, humidifiers, dehumidifiers, fans, other stuff that stands on the ground. Everything else mounts to the wall. 3.5 ft is about all the space I can manage to work underneath and above the plants well without stepping into the actual grow area. You *won't* want to be crawling in that space. 36 watts per sqft with those UV tubes added is plenty. Maybe add a couple of LED strips if you want also.

It will use a lot less power with a superior light spectrum IMO. You'll need to aim to grow smaller plants or learn to scrog. With 3.5ft x 10ft you can work all the plants out nicely on a wire or string mesh. It also doesn't require as much height.

I couldn't find a reasonably priced wall-mount fan that doesn't have some sort of problem such as lighted LEDs that shine thru plastic, squeaky oscillator mechanism, bad vibration problems, or that wouldn't turn back on after power outage. I went back to good old stand up oscillator fans with manual controls. Keep it all simple and easy.
