Hey everyone,
First time posting after doing a substantial amount of research on the site, thanks to everyone here for making such a wealth of knowledge readily available.
After much forethought, I've gone ahead and pulled the trigger on my first marijuana cultivation attempt. I needed a solution that was reasonably stealth, self-contained, and portable enough that I could take it down and set it up without any permanent changes to my residence, and the Secret Jardin Darkroom tent provided the basis for that theme. I've got a Hydrofarm air cooled reflector set up with a 600w Lumatek Digital Ballast and Hortilux HPS bulb. The lighting system is cooled by a 6" inline Vortex fan. I also have a Can carbon scrubber attached to another 6" Vortex which is pulling and filtering 440 CFM through the tent.
For hydroponics, I have the Ebb & Gro system with 6 pots to start with, but I'm leaving the door open for 12 or more in the future. I have 6 G-13 clones that I picked up from a local dispensary here in southern california. They were pretty tall to begin with, all of them around 10" with healthy looking roots in small rockwool cubes. One of them seems to have been drooping lately as you'll see in the pictures...I'm hoping she will pull through. I'm running purified water that I pick up in 5 gallon jugs from one of those water vending machines they have in grocery stores. Its great 'cus its reading absolutely 0 PPM but the only issue is the pH is at 8.0. Is that normal for drinking water? I don't have any pH up or down solution yet, and I hope I'm not causing too much damage by letting the little guys drink it before adjusting pH. Haven't started my nutrient solution yet as I heard its better to just feed to clones water for a few days, but I have the SensiGro+Bloom line ready to begin.
