6" Inline Fan With Carbon Filter placement question! (picture)

Hello all! I decided to get a 6in Inline fan w/carbon filter to help reduce the smell in my room/house. Now unfortunately i am unable to get ducting to the attic and was just going to recirculate the air in my room (recommended from a person from RIU instead), now would placing it on top of the rack be the best place for this? The picture of the closet is a exact duplicate of where im growing my girl at, i couldn't take a picture there because she is sleeping atm. Or would be placing it on the ground be better?

Alright pal there would be fine if your just recirculating in the grow room position isn't that important, But if you are ducting to outside the room you want it high really so it draws the hot air out first from top of room.
I would duct in cool air at the bottom of the room and extract hot air at the top.
The carbon filter will make a huge difference to you smells and can even cut it right out completely.
