i'm not going to lie, after looking at their penalties i don't think i'd want to grow there, either. they distinguish between growing and selling, and the penalty for growing is far, far worse. one could in theory sell 10 pounds of bud out of an elementary school playground (school zone) and the max sentence would be slightly less than half the MINIMUM penalty of growing 6 plants. that's fucking absurd.

Well, I decided to sleep on it before killing the last three plants. My mind is made up, the grow has to go. I am not willing to leave my kids without a father because I'm in prison for 10 years for fulfilling an obsession I have with wanting to grow my own bud. Some day when these absurd laws change, I will grow again. When I get home from work today Ill try to put up some pictures of my setup and the plants.

the laws will always be their atleast for a long time just don't tell anyone and keep it hidden nobody will expect anything

Well, since we've now gone there I do believe if you want to give credit where credits due, you can thank the bumbling GWB for that more so than TheRock Obama, along with a lot of other things to thank him for. Im politically neutral BTW as I realize that since these presidents care nothing about my world, I dont care anything about theirs.

This is about right , remmber when i first started i was shitting myself every single time the door went. Anytime a diesel engine drove by my house etc.

Came to my senses and realised these bastards wont come anocking, unless i give them a reason to.

Really tho it gets better the longr you do it , all the years of bullshit they feed you about cops catching you etc takes a while to get over.

Ofc dont get me wrong if you advertise what your doing to the world then you will have problems, if they want you they wil get you , the trick is to stay off the radar which is shouldnt even be an issue with a smal personal grow. However if you keep yourself to yourself and a respectful person and have odour under control and tell nobody , you have next to nothing to worry about.

if you look around theres loads of stealth ways to grow , inside pc cases etc.Granted you wont be getting huge monster plants in them , however a couple wee cfl lights and a few wee plants scrogged in one of these things would be immpossible to detect if done right .

Can unerstand if you have kids etc , and you live n some crazy part of usa where sentanceing is just nuts. I would prob be the same if i lived over there, the sentances they hand out over there , well dosnt take an expert to see they dont play around.

What everyone on this thread doesn't understand (yes I am generalizing correct me if I'm wrong) is that you're in fucking Kansas, it aint the promised land, hell I'd rather get busted in Alabama (not Tennessee though... fuck Murphreesboro). You would, if busted, lose your job, not your kids, but probably your job. I remember saying this "I will grow again, just not in Kansas" took me almost 10 years of waiting, but I never lost sleep, and now I can finally grow my own medicine and live a happier life.

chill...even the legal medical grower has a chance of going down. When you let it get to you they win another battle. Don't give them the luxury of preventing you from doing what you like to do. Weed is illegal in their eyes..fuck them and their laws I say. Us cannabis users have our own culture, way of life and morals which supersedes any ridiculous laws they might have in place. Your first mistake was looking at the penalties. In war death is the biggest penalty, in cannabis growing, incarceration is the biggest penalty. We are "at war" basically. Donate to NORML and if you ever do happen to get in trouble they have great pro bono lawyers who help people that have gotten into trouble either possessing or cultivating cannabis. Think of yourself as an activist, do research, make sure your grow is secure and you keep your lips sealed and you will be just fine.

There are strick penalties all over the country but bottom line grow a couple plants have fun and dont tell a god damm person about it, Not the gf not your buddies no one. The only people I know that get caught is because someone gets a dui or some bullshit charge and rats you out. Even then they cant come raid you unless they get proff, ie photos or real evidence. This is weed not murder. The reason they are strick on lots of plants is they will sell to a jury that wtf was he groing ten plants for personal use. Each DA I am sure is dif like every other crime but why risk it.

A guy here where I live got 9 years for 20 seedlings. But the guy had priors, several so with that said who knows. KEEP MOUTH SHUT

that is terrible last year in uk an associate got busted 40 plants he got a slap on wrist a £300-400 fine and 100 hours community service/unpaid work.As long as u aint got digital scales and a load of lil weed bags u just get done for possesion but i hear now in big cities in uk they treat it like traffic crime they come rip it dwn take your plants read u ur rights and give u a date for court and leave no smelly pissy police cells for hours they deal wiv it in ur house now but if u get caught growing and they also find a few £20 bags bagged up u get done for intent to supply thats when the penaltys start getting worse but check this watchin tv the other day in uk manchester airport a jamaican dude gets stopped with 18 kilo of smelly bud in his bag and got 18month in prison 1 and a half year for importing 18 kilo of bud thats a good sentence id take that and be happy in my cell for 18 month but cum on in ur bag 18 kilo on a plane u wud av to be desperate whats the chances of gettin thru id say 5% nit worth the risk imo its not even 50/50 of gettin thru 18 kilo is a lot to lose not as much as these jokers who try and send kilo's of cocaine over sea's and then theres them peeps who put 3gram cocain/heroin in each button on a shirt then send thousands of shirts over with an oz in each shirt in all the buttons anyway off topic or what dont worry or burn ur shit keep 3 lil tips in mind. but these small sentences people are getting are because there are to many grows goin on in uk now the police cant keep up they taking dwn 1800 grows a day accordin to papers and for every 5 they take down 10 are going up dealers are taking to setting up grows in there customers houses paying all costs and givving them a fee for takin the risk a lad i know claims to have 8 going at once right now in different gaffs

I appreciate all the advice guys. I decided this morning before I left for work to destroy the last three remaining plants(pure kush, super lemon haze, jack herrer . It was a tough thing to do, but I feel like I made the right choice for my situation. Trust me, there were more than a few moments thoughout the day today when my stomach turned from thinking about what I did, but I felt better knowing that I made a smart choice for my family.

I hear what everyone is saying about paranoia. I'm sure to a certain extent, paranoia had a hand in my decision. I was stupid though to not do more research on my state's penalties before starting this little project. Once I realized the penalties in my state were more of a risk than I was willing to take, it was a choice I made based on new facts rather than just paranoia.

I did have reason to be a little paranoid though. I told 6 friends about my grow, I ordered seeds from Attitude seed bank on my credit card, and I ordered most of my grow supplies on amazon(including the grow bible). It was to the point that amazon was recommending other marijuana grow supplies to me.

Anyway, I'm really going to miss these plants. I have never really had the urge to grow anything before, but I couldn't wait to check on these guys every night. It was exciting to see how much they would grow in just 24 hours. Hope I get the chance to do it again.

I will attempt to attach a few pictures of my setup and the plants. I built the grow tent in my crawlspace. I built a trap door in my closet and pulled fresh air from my house to ventilate.

kansas is broke. they have no money to house people in prison. youll get probation if you get caught i promise, that way they can have you pay them for cost of supervision and fines. if i had a million dollars to bet on it i would definately bet on it thats how sure i am and i never ever make bets that im gonna lose.

Yea i freaked a little also when i looked up growing laws in my state but i got over it. I really hope the cops have better things to do other than trying to bust people growing 3 to 5 plants just for their own use.

Just saw on the news, 25 people from my county were caught in a scheme to transport 2000 pounds of "high grade" marijuana from California to Kansas City. They said they'll get 10 years to life in prison. Why do we treat these people like murderers? I think this experience is going to turn me into an activist for the legalization of weed. My sadness is starting to turn to anger and blame. If people want to brew beer, they have every right, but if you want to grow a natural plant, you risk going to prison for life.
