Well, just one of the 6 unique Killing Fields is trimmed up and drying. #1... #6 gets cut down tmrw. # 2 on Sunday. The rest look like 10-11 weeks. So at least a couple weeks left.

I'm guessing the #1,2 and 6 will be dried and ready to smoke about 2.5 weeks from now. I'll try to cure most of it slow... but I'll definitely be smoking on it as soon as it is dry enough.

Thank you, the selection process is still underway here. There are 6 plants to choose from... I think I will be keeping 2 though. I am hoping to keep the most sativa clear headed high plant, and one plant that yields well, has a little more body high and hopefully a nice color.

I've been real happy with this pack so far. The test smoke has been great. As far as the look while growing, this has been the most beautiful pack I have grown, no question.

Lookin beautiful. Can't wait to hear the final report. The quicker plants seem to be diesel dominant. Also the colorful ones.

Good to know. Thanks. I've got no diesel experience. I grew some Blueberry from DJ short and have noticed a couple traits that I think I recognize in a few plants. But yeah, no diesel knowledge to pick that one out. Nice.

I hope I didn't chop to soon.. but... the trichs were mostly cloudy, like I always do. The pistils were 100% colored, many had receded.

I should have final chop photos up tmrw of #6... She looks very similar to #1, but improved yields.

If you sort through my pictures on imgshack you'll find a plant that looks a lot like your first chop. Since there's no Jack in Sugar Punch one is led to believe these plants must be more The One dominant. I say diesel instead of the one because The One is diesel dominant. Granted there are other traits in there too. The fruity smells tend to compliment the diesel so one can imagine it comes from the blueberry. Also the color somewhat. But the plant itself is definitely more diesel dominant just by lineage. It's like a backcross almost.

#6 came down this morning.. I forgot to take full plant shots... damn.

Here are some bud shots of #6 when cut down. VERY strong smell. It's a strange smell that I do not really know. Possibly diesel.

Beautiful buds, yields are better than #1, but still a little lower than i like. I think what I am looking for in this pack is still in the flowering tent.

I'm hoping to get to a nice detailed update tmrw... with smells, tastes (oven dried) and thoughts on each of the plants... some are hanging, some are growing still.

smoked on #2 today... even with an oven dry, I could taste a creamy grape candy, no lung expansion, really nice.

#3 has at least 2 weeks to go, but it has the most amazing sour apple jolly rancher smell... It's sour, fruity, sweet/sugary, very much like a sour apple candy.

I'll hopefully get into more of that tmrw.

Also, run them at least twice. Dialage is key in determining if you're gonna find what you really want. My second go with the Extrema/SP/BW and things are looking quite a bit better due to a few changes.

I have done multiple runs while searching for the perfect plant in the past, but I am not sure if I will have time or space this time. Hopefully I do.

Yeah, I made many assumptions about this pack that led to plants coming short of their potential. I really expected something different. Luckily, all of these plants are looking and smoking great. So I should get something good regardless. I think I will hold on to as many as I can and test those more.

Reading some of your posts, I can see you enjoy selecting like I do... I've been much more on top of it in the past.. I've been getting a little lazy lately.. also, I'm just running out of room.

At one time, I purely selected on quality and effect... yield, taste, smell, pest/disease resistance, etx was not at all taken into consideration. Just potency, effect, resin content. Those days I had an unreal stock of mothers. Yields were weak, but every bud I pulled out was potent and beautiful. I feel like lower yielding plants typically produce more resinous buds.. I'm guessing, less total surface area means more trichs per square inch. ?.

Props on your pheno hunt journal and taking the time to select... I love that shit.

#5 came down this morning after 10 weeks...
This plant is REALLY nice... I can't wait to get smoking on it.
The smell is very strong Grapefruit... when pulling this plant out the entire place was full of a distinct grapefruit smell. Very very nice. Pretty green too.
It's not even like sort of a grapefruit smell, it is exactly like a sour sweet juicy grapefruit right in your face.. Strong, sharp, sour and sweet. NYCD i hear...

My journal has sort of died a slow death. I will continue the hunt and let folks know how it goes some how some way. I think lower yielding plants focus more energy on drug production instead of fiber production. That simple.

Did any of your phenos have the purple head trichs? I had one covered with purple trichs ranging from a light bluish to a dark purple.

Mid Week 11...

#3 is my first confirmed keeper... after a test smoke there is no way I let this plant go after growing it at least 3-4 more times. Love this plant..
Smells like sour apple jolly ranchers... nice chill sativa clear high... no rush like ssh/nevilles.. just sativa chillin.

Nice.. man, with 6 different KF's to report on... I am going to have to stay high 24/7 for a few weeks before I can really write up something of worth.
I am up for the challenge though..haha.
