Would it matter if the light went off for a few minutes and then came back on, during the light-on period, like say during a power cut, or if someone turns off the switch by accident?

Thats less of a concern than a leak during lights off. Or a flash during lights off. Or taking pictures during lights off.
 
Maybe you're plant sees all those dead rotting leaves sitting right next to it and has said 'fuck you, I aint flowering until you clean up my decaying body parts'?

Or maybe I'm just high. Or both.
 
I think your power bar is prolly emitting a light. First thing you need to do is move your plugs outside of the grow area. 2nd thing clean that up man. Dirty room = lazy person. Do us all a favor and remove like all that bottom shit out freal. Now if that plant flowers you are fucked big time. Those little nets aren't saving you. You should start bending them now too. You said you live in SE Asia? Then you should know the one trick Asians use... Pinching.

I'm very new to all this, so Having starter trouble I guess. Plant aint faring to well. Will probably start a new grow, as I have Gelat OG which is Mostly indica, so space control is possible there.
 
I would cut for clones now's root them, clean up the mess there. Move the outlets and stuff out of there. After that once the clones root turn the light cycle to 12/12

Well, the plant did not end up doing too well, and shriveled up. Also, since my space is so small, I can't grow multiple clones of a sativa yet again. So I have cleaned out the entire place, notched the Scrog net a bit lower for easier reach, and I just planted a strain (Gelat OG from Seedsman) into a Jiffy Plug. Its sitting inside in the dark now, awaiting new birth..... I Plan to undo the mistakes I may have done In my grow, and I would greatly appreciate any advice that I can possibly apply from this stage now.
