will this work..is chip life span still an issue?

just talked to a company who claims to do this

have some experience using leds...do not want to make my own..

reading alot ..[here] good job !

testing led bars 70 w and 55 w, cree . bridgelux epi

two custom 250 w 5000k bridgelu x not cob[not bad so far]

spectrumkingnled 440[not bad so far..]
still gotta flower with both

3590 max is more around 130w. Even at that level I'm able to keep the cobs at around 43c, well within spec. Lifespan SHOULD be longer than you'd want to use them.

Problem is...it will probably be more light coming out of one spot than is optimal. Phototropism, yellowing leaves, 40-50c whirlwind of hot air, overly high placement.....

but it will work....high up. For a cheap build...but than you may as well use hid.

Just my take on it so far...

explained so well even i understand...i have seen what you mentioned

[phototropism] even using 120 w panels too close...and the spectrumking..

so one circumvents this by using more cobs/leds driven with less milli amps?

wow ..one more parameter i did not consider....

i guess i need to get myhead around optimal balance of intensity /coverage
