Looks good man. Curious as to the yield.

Interested in the Screen. I've SCROG before, and still do- but I've never just let it naturally grow through the screen... (if thats what youre doing)

Usually I put the screen in a week or two before flower depending on growth vigor and height, and manipulate the branches through the screen, then lollypop the bottom.

I do this in what I call the test cabinet, a clothes dresser that has been stealth hollowed out. I have a SWC Rez (3.5 gallons of water) and I grow one plant at a time, spread it through the screen to manipulate it for a perfect canopy. I use T5's and CFL's and the bud is comparable in quality to my 400watt hps stock. I like to do it because as my test cabinet, it allows me to work with a strain experimentally. I mix nutrients a little differently and am not afraid to try different things.

It was actually doing that which persuaded me to switch the actual room to DWC and I haven't gone back.

Do you enjoy still working in soil and doing DWC?
I'm thinking I'll have to back to soil for my mothers ironically for all the reasons i moved away from it: it'll make them grow slower and I can't have my long term lady getting out of hand.

But those hydro girls blow me away everytime.

yeah I did super crop a few of the tall ones to try keep them level. but for the most part i just have 34 plants under there and flowered them for 2-3 weeks before i got the screen on there... wanted it in earlier cause now i'm a lil late and some of the plants didn't get above the screen. I also lollied the bottom 1/3 (first time using a lolli method) but aparently it wasn't enough.

When do you lolli and how many bottom nodes to you remove?

Yeah i have my moms in soil as well as a couple Bangi Haze plants now that i will flower in soil to see what they can do. They didn't seem to like the same things as the BB so my yield is going to really be affected for them.

As for my moms i've had some in hydro and just like you said they get super out of control for what i need. The really colorful pics are of a BB mom that decided she hated being a mom and started flowering under 24/0 lighting so i tossed her into flower and shes got 20-30 colas all within a 6-8" canopy. should be a great yield under a 600w hps and they are dense as ever.

Moms i rock in 20gal tubs of promix soil/perlite and fox farm nutes.

and my one BB mom now is about 4' tall and 5' wide with 30-50 shoots all level and i just take 30+ clones every 25days from her.

Sorry- no journal, other than my first ever. Since then I havent posted pictures, just shared experiences. I dont have a camera and dont wanna share my secrets with friends to get one.

When I lolli I usually remove the bottom 3 nodes. If doing a SCROG I usually put the screen on during the first-second week of flowering and then manipulate the flowers through the screen. I then remove everything under the screen. By stretching each flower as far as it can go beneath the screen and then poking its flower up- they all jet up from the screen and it looks like a forest. I only SCROG in my test cabinet.

But I am about to be bringing the screen into the big room for the upcoming grows of kinks kush and greatwhite shark- these varieties combined with my SCROG experience from the test cab should make for a great grow.

harvested 1-22-10

didnt weigh it all but i took the day off of work to catch up on things there, and will get weights then.

i got a lb of small buds that i am going to make hash out of.

almost a lb of standard trim

11oz of decent buds that we removed from stems (right 1/2 of blue lid) from the big momma

8oz of decent buds removed from stems (left side of blue lid) from the DWC BBs

5-6oz of bud from the bangi haze plants that didn't produce much at all.

+ all the hanging plants. the largest bud hanging with stem weight was 3.5oz so prolly under and ounce once dry.

again these are wet weights

hoping to get about a lb from it all dry.

new pics and weights today after hanging for 3 days.


oh and we made a cake of buds. haha

Here are total almost dry weights... they are now in jars and starting the curing process.

pretty happy with total weights.

150g from the BB momma in soil
95g from the DWC BBs
155g of popcorn buds from both the soil and Hydros
14g Bangi Haze DWC
100g tiny popcorn buds for hash
300-400g in standard trim

then new to the bloom room is a Aero setup with 30 BB clones that are overgrown a lil bit so we'll see how they do. but i mega trimmed them as i am trying to do the lolli pop way for main colas.

the momma is still in the flower room trying to fatten up some of the lower bud sites that were far from done.

how the fuck do you run so many watts without electricity cost being insane or the power company suspectin anything? thats alot of power goin on at one house..

its not that much... my bill is only $80 or so right now... add the two more 600s and fans to cool them and i'm guessin around 130-140 total

Wow nice fat buds. How do they taste and are they strong knockout high? Repped.

real heady. coulda let them go another week prolly. taste is still coming along... as they are curing now. but they sure do stank real nice.

not sure on seed company got them like 3 years ago and finally found them again a few months back.

harvest was on the 22nd and ended up with 14.5 zips and still have a good amount on the big moms bottom half that wasn't ready yet but might just hash that out when its done...

also have 300g in trim that needs to be hashed out.

where did you get the big bud seeds? im out to find a legit site that has it available..

sensiseeds has some but they are fems for insane prices... i think i paid like $40 for 10 non fems a few years back

i'd say week 6-8 not sure on the exact date... and this is only in the hydro set...

the soil one just continued to get fat and was much larger than the hydro.... until.... the calyxes on the DWC ones just swelled to all hell. it was sick.. in like a week they tripled in size...

that's good to hear. I'm right at abround 5 and a half, and noticed a bit of swelling starting, and about 5-10 percent of the hairs are orange... a nice orange too! not brown

nice looking plants did u buy those plugs that urusing inur cloner or did you make them cause ive never seen them that small thanks
