600W 3x3x7 Grow Tent.

This is not my first grow just switching things up, need a little advise. I have 7 plants in total. I have a 3x3x7 grow tent with a 600W ushio Hilix bulb, which is supposed to have both red and blue spectrums in the bulb. I want to scrog but in order to do that do I have enough room to even attempt something like this. And I can't find any info on how to study this. Should I get one more to make it 8 plants. Is my lighting system ok. Plus I have an extra 400W HPS lamp. Any help will be great the temp stays around 65-75.

600w is perfect for a 3x3 tent - I wouldn't add anymore light. Personally with 7 plants I would just LST them a bit or top them and then let them grow standard. Your tent will be packed regardless so without a scrog you'd end up with a 3x3 canopy with 6" colas and great airflow versus 3x3x3" colas with the scrog, worse airflow, and a harder time tending to plants.

SCROG is great when you need to have fewer plants cover a larger canopy area than they would naturally, so if you decided to run just 2 plants or 4 it would be great, but with 7 I just think it will get complicated.

Here is my 4x4 tent, of which about a foot is taken up by side lighting so more like a usable 3x4 tent.

Day I started 12/12 - 8 plants there of which two get removed. Notice that they aren't all that large when I start flowering, only 6"-12" of actual plant.

5 weeks into flower and the tent is already over crowded. If I had scrogged the same plants it would be even more crowded and I would lose most of the vertical space -
This type of canopy /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ offers much more surface area than this type ------------- and a 600w has enough penetrating power when covering a 3x3 area that you don't lost bud quality by having an uneven canopy - all parts of the canopy should receive enough light.

We agree with gastanker on this. We have run the same set up before and for the number of plants you would be o.k. The Scrog would put to much strain on your space limitations tho. A 600 h.p.s in a 3x3x7 tent you will get rock hard buds with all that light!
This is an older picture(we have moved to a 5x5x7 since)of our 3x3x7 and 600 watt h.p.s in a air cooled hood. If those are the temps you have with the 600 then you are solid! If not be sure to keep the temps in check can they can rise Drastically! Employe good air movement in your set up your ladies will thank you for it..

how much did you end up getting from your 3x3 600w and 4x4 600w grows? Just curious, as ive got a 3x3 space with the same wattage

My last harvest was 2/3 lbs of some really nice bud.
