600w hps bulb heat question

just installed my new 600w hps air cooled fan unit put my hawiian mawi and red dwarf under it on 12/12 there both lust over a month old but was wondering do the lights let off a lot of heat just makeing sure everything is ok with it

A 600w HPS bulb can put out a lot of heat. Purchase a digital temperature gauge to monitor the temps.

looking much better fellow grower but still need few upgrades... fan in bottom veg section,prob few more cfls in veg section, need passive intake/exhaust outtake(comp fan) in veg section, light proof veg section(mayb use panda mylar n velcro to make door flap), and veg nutes... need passive air intake in flower section as cooled hood acts like exhaust,light proof flower section same as veg section with mylar n velcro or wtv works for ya,flower nutes... that should be enough to keep ya busy for few days fellow grower
