600W HPS, Master Kush, Blue Mystic, White Skunk, and A nice bagseed Kush/hybrid....

Here's my setup and current grow. I have a 600w HPS in the flower chamber and a 400 MH on the veg side (currently burnt out and I'm running my 400 HPS at the moment).

Flower Chamber 5x6x5
Veg Chamber 5x4x5


9 clones for mothers at the moment just put the last 6 in 4' cubes. Everything should be timed right. But I will be getting rid of one for sure, and maybe down to 4-6 we'll see how different the pheno types and potency's are in each strain.


Old Kush (Bagseed from a really nice Kush I used to get) - Keeping

White Labal - White skunk, 2-3 not sure which I will keep yet

Nirvana - Blue Mystic, 3 not sure which I will keep

Nirvana - Master Kush, 3 Might keep 2 of them

I have a Church and Train Wreck Fem seed from GH seeds waiting to be cracked also. Maybe when everything is dialed in.



At the moment....
I have an aero cloner and veg unit with the mothers in RW cubes. I may ditch the mothers in the future and clone from the vegger unit, but I'm skeptical about the degrading of the generations from cloning a clone from a clone etc.... I assume I will have new genetics by that time.. but meh.. or even seeds since I plan on breeding once I have everything dialed in.

For the flower chamber right now there are the females I cloned for mothers flowering. I popped the seeds in jiffy pellets and grew them in soil to find some females. Some are almost done now actually. 2-3 more weeks maybe more if I choose. The bag seed might be good in a week.

I will be building 3 smaller modified versions of the stinkbud system for the flower chamber. 5 net pots but I will only start off using 3 (outsude and middle holes) and see how spacing is. I want to be able to run 5 smaller single cola plants if I want. This is to keep numbers down and be able to change it up if needed.

Should be able to pull 3-5 plants every 3 weeks, 9 week cycle give or take.. depending on how long they take to finish.. We'll see. There is a fast finishing indica dominant Kush and a couple Sativa Dominant still packing on weight.

I fucked some up playing around with nute EC levels... 2 blue mystics are weak looking but should produce something decent..

Unfortunately I overdosed a bit and I had a white skunk hermie.. So the crop has some seeds.. My oldest BM has seeds that I can see.. kind shitty but whatever.. theses are just the mothers I was looking for.. Popped a bunch of seeds and these are the females.. A nice wide variety of phenos..
I will also pop most of the seeds that come out of this crop.. hermie or not.. I'll see what they bring to the table..

The clones from a flowering plant haven't reverted back to normal leaves yet.. 1 never really was fazed (strong genetics maybe?)
I didn't run 24/7 I ran 18/6 so that might have played a part in it also.. I may just have a sweet undercover outdoor strain if they don't correct themselves..

I only used one tub for the Vegger and they seem fine.. The roots are in the water and seem to love it... My temps are around 68-73... I top it up with ice cubes when it's 74+ and that brings it right down to 64 for a bit.. but comes back to 67-68 eventually... I want to get different sprayers.. mine clog often... I also need a screen on the pump inlet ASAP..

For the mothers I have 8 +1 that is sitting over one of the open holes in the aero unit... the roots started to plung down.. kinda cool.. I only had room for 8 mothers without cramming shit in there.. and I didn't have to kill her yet..
I'm using a drip system.. No timer yet.. just plugging them in twice a day for 5-10 minutes for now..
I may drop down to 4 mothers one from each strain.. but possibly 6 or all 8.. since each strain has a couple pheno's

The white skunk has a couple NICE tall sativa doms.. and a short bushy Indica/Sativa mix...

The flower unit will be built in a month or so when all of the soil or most are done..
The youngest ones are 3.5-5 weeks.. So atleast a month on most of them.. 2 on a couple late sativa doms..
4 of the oldest are on day 45

looking good but I overdosed trying to rap my head around the water EC concept and how the plants take it up..
I have a much greater understanding of soil now..

I'm using botanicare nutes, Pro grow and pro bloom.. I will be getting cal-mag and Liquid karma when I build the Flowering system.. I will be starting with stink buds nute recipe and I may play with it in one of the systems...

The roots are cool.. they seem to have formed a column like structure with the air exposed roots and then the ones in the water are floating freely and growing side branching..

I have 2 home made charcoal filters running and a arm and hammer oder eater fan things.. pretty good little contraption for 15 bucks.. 2 settings.. 1 is good but slow air movement.. 2 is nice but it's loud..

Osilating fan moving air around and a cage fan cooling the bulb..

DAY/NIGHT Temps hover around 75-80/65-74, 78-84/68-76 depends on the temps outside... I try and stay on top of it.. I have a heater with a thermostat build in but it's not super accurate, it's a turn dial setting.. It's winter here right now if your wondering why I need the heater...
The temps at the table top pot floor hovers around 72-75...


The RH in the flowering room is around 40-50, 50-60 after watering...
60-70 in the veg chamber...

All of my blue mystics are fucked in some way.. the oldest is seeded from the WS hermie i just pulled.. and the 2 are jacked from nute experimentation.. the last but not least is nice but tiny and weak.. I had her in a tiny ass pot for a long time and transplanted her 4 weeks into flower into a pot that wasn;t that much bigger and not the size of the others... so she's weak.... It was on purpose also.. I was observing the difference a good pot size makes.. And the difference is huge..

Whatever.. they were just the females I was searching for.. I have clones and mothers brewing in the veg chamber.... I'm just not ready to build the flower units yet and I don't want to waste these pretty ladies..

I also didn't put enough lime in the soil and the PH is getting lower then I want it to be.. I tried flushing with a higher PH for a bit but they keep dropping down..

The MK's are nitro hog's it seems..

I had a WS go hermie on me and had to pull it early..
oh well... not too much damage done..

rest should be done anywhere from 1-2 weeks, to 3-4 weeks..

WEll I found black algae where the drip system drips the cubes..

I have clear tubes that do get light.. think this is the culprit???

I may just stick to soil mothers.. we'll see
I may tape or spray the tubes.. possibly look for dark tubes..
The res temp is 68-70 degrees

I have the tops of the cubes covered so no light gets in there..
I've seen green algae before but not this...

A friend of mine uses some sulfate or something to spray on the leaves. His shit you can only spray once, the second time around it fries the plant. Don't know if I wanna smoke that shit tbh.

Nice effin' grow, btw. If I had the skill for aero I would do it. As it stands, I'm barely proficient w/ sunlight and dirt.

I'm also learning.. trial and error.. been searching for good females.. and i'm almost ready to build the first modified stink system... I'm only going to build one and see how it goes.. possibly 2 more if it goes well.. if not.. 1 with some soil and maybe a small ebb flo table.. I'm a DIY'er.. I love building stuff from anything and everything I can find..

As soon as the funds are right.. I will be getting another 600watter or hopefully a 1000... we will see how much money I can scrounge up and see how much these bitches yield..

It's 5x5x5-7 I can go a bit longer then 5 feet if i want.. i can make it 6 for sure.. 7 maybe..

the right half seems to be a smarter coverage.. but the left side would be easier with the bulb out of the way..

walls will be mylar.. most are now.. I will finish it up later on..

The hps does give a lankyier vegged plant that's for sure..

I was under the impression, now i may be wrong, that HPS worked better to flower than MH and vise versa. Actually I think too much HPS light can induce vegging early. An enhanced spectrum MH might be a better choice for veg. MIGHT. Like I said, I'm not that good yet.
And 2 600w lights put out more lumens than a single 1000w and use less energy.
you also wanna be careful with light coming from different directions. if you dont do it right your plants will grow all kinds of funky directions and be harder to manage, not to mention the yield might get all fucked off.
If I were you i'd put them both over the top of your grow and have all your plants grow as uniformly as possible. But again, take that with a grain of salt as i'm just getting started myself.

I will get a second 600 for sure.. but I want the intesity of the 1000w.. i'm sure anyone here with the experience in both 600 and 1000 watt setups will know what i'm talking about.. GRANTED you can get the 1000 close enough.. not being able to use the intensity defeats the purpose..

2 600's will cover that area really nice

But I want the intensity of the 1000w..

So.. if that 1000w pours down on the main section of the grow and the 600 vertically.. gives nice side lighting and extra light to the 1000w area.. PLUS the 600 will nicely light up the other edge of the space.. so I can utilize all the space I have.. not only utilize it all I think that would be quite the lighting setup for a 5wx6.5lx5h area...

keep in mind I would like to breed in the future.. so having a nice lighted corner or edge to keep small seeded plants would be awesome.. not to mention i might build a clear plex glass box with a fan/filter to grow out small male plants in.. I have to use the space that I have..

efficency.... 4 sides of the 600 and the 1000w with a nice reflector... walls mill be mylar.. it would be like a cube of light..

Now i'm iffy about heat.. once summer hits it will be harder to keep the temps down.. 600's will be easier then 1600.. I think anyway..

As for the HPS.. yeah the red/yellow spectrum is best for flowering BUT MH is better for vegging.. mine burnt out and I had to use my HPS... I run a 400w.. the hps has more lumens ... but the plants are lankiyer... 100%

I need to get a new MH asap..


As far as the plants growing uniformly.. I think as long as I have the 1000 up top I will be ok.. That's why i'm asking for opinions..

also I don't care how they grow as long as they flower nicely.. pruning and taming them early to the way you want them to grow isn't too bad..

I could also swap one of the bulbs out to a MH at certain times to give them mixed light for a couple weeks..

looking beautiful.. was going a bit overboard on the nutes until I understood what was going on.. dialing it in for the last few weeks.. can't wait for those master kush's... and that fat ass white skunk is getting me wet..

the master kush plants suffered lower PH the on in the small pot was 5.0 run off... I just can't get it up.. nor do I care that much..

Starting to get the temp locked in.. especially the canopy temp.. also stopped letting hte night temp get really low.. made them frosty.. but they stretched a bit in the bottom buds..
