It all depends on how you want to grow your plants.

It sounds crazy but there are A LOT of ways to grow and I would recommend invetigating things like SOG (Sea Of Green), SCROG (Screen of Green), LST (Light Stress Training), etc.

These are all techniques used to enhance production of your grow, because let's face it you want to get the best results and the most weed you can get for the risk.

Do some research, believe me you will very happy you did.

A 600 Watt system has a grow area up to 6 X 6 feet so 6-8 plants at the most.

Rule of thumb for a good grow is 50 watts per square feet of floor space. So that means that you can grow 12 plants well.

I grew 4 pretty good sized plants under a 400 watt, so I would think 6 "full sized" is a safe bet. I am in the process of building a dual bulb setup so that I can run 400 watts of HPS and 250 watts of MH. I am curious to see how the blend of spectrum effects the process.

yeh eh and that would be under one 600W? now about my other plants i have 1 plant about say 10 inched its northern lights and i wanna make it a mother and i have 5 seedlings there under 4 4' fluros should that be good enough....im trying to avoid useing MH and just use the hps for my budding stage

50 x 12 = 600. Therefore, one plant per square feet = 50 watts per square foot under your 600. Twelve plants is the number you're looking for.

that looks bomb so like should i just put my plants under the 600w hps and a 360 conversion bulb? would it be wise to keep my mother under my fluros? and clones as well? could i veg using fluros?

I veg and clone under fluro's & it seems to work out pretty well, but once you put the girls under the big lights - (02) 600 M/H they just explode with growth. I typically give them a month or so & switch over to HPS @ 12/12 when they reach about 22" (my screen height) from the soil line.

so you let them veg for a month or so and then flip em to the bigg lights but with 12/12 or u let them get 22" then switch

ok ok i see now so keeping my plants under fluros they would grow slower then under the MH right..... now what if i decided i wanted to keep a mother under the fluros some told me that would be a good idea i dont know
