600w hps

this is my 1st grow and i have a 600w hps how many plants would i be able to grow under it

depends how you want to grow them

4'x4' range, 100watt/plant generally, so six? I don't know but I have only two under 400w hps, but they are 1.5' wide

are u a first time grower? NO MORE THEN 2! dont bite more then u can chew!! if not u can go depending on ur grow area me i already used same light for 6 plants in a grow tent but frankly now i will run 4, Scrog 'em LST and top 'em ladys! first time if u get 0.5g/W u can say that it's newB success story! give us more info regarding your setup and pictures will help! happy 420...

I run a 600w HPS too, within an air cooled hood in a 120x120x200 tent. Most plants I've run under it is 8 in 10 litre pots - I am currently running 3 in 20 litre pots. I prefer less plants, more room and light for each. But others prefer more plants. I think the optimum amount for you would be 5, with a maximum of about 8.

I got 4 in 5 gal pots and it's all I got room for in 5X5 area. But I trained them to be low and wide so it kind of depends how long you veg for, how/if you train them, and how large a pot. I got pics in my sig of what mine ended up looking like to fill the light footprint.

i was thinking 5 green poison plants my space is 4x4 i can get 9 10liter pots in this space but not sure how much there going to bush out i have a 4inch carbon filter and a 12 inch fan pointing at hps bulb

dose any 1 no how big and bushy green poison plants grow and how much bud i will get of 1 plant

with techniques such as supercropping and topping/fimming (read up)you can make them as bushy as you want. green poison is an indica dominant strain not sure of yield. of course depends on soil/hydro, nutes, lights, veg time, and about 100 other factors, so nobody can answer the question.

But like GanjaHome said, for your first go you might aim for .5 grams per watt (half a gram per watt) so if you were to have 5 plants under 600watt then perhaps 60gram per plant. And veg under MH if you can. Dependant on your skills or lack thereof, the conditions, and whether you encounter any probs/pests and you most likely will like I did and most newbs do, you could end up with a lot less (or nothing) or more than this.
