Well, I would think the reflector is built for the light, not really sure what you mean.

You were asking about distances from the light to your plant. Keep it 18 inches or more and you should be fine but make sure by testing with the back of your hand. As I had previously said.

my bad, its 6" from my light to my plant with no heat burn on my hand.

I GOT MINE FOR A GREAT PRICE AND IT CAME ALL READY WIRED WITH A SOCKET AND 15' LAMP CORD. THATS A PLUS.:hump:
