forgot to say that the 2 blue hash seeds came from a feminized plant which wasnt pollinated. i just found them during harvest. i did a little research into this and it seems that sometimes a plant will produce a seed or two in order to keep the strain alive. also the previous plant was subject to some heat stress, which also causes the production of seeds.

so this is kind of a little experiment to see what happens to them. they should be 100% female but well see

I'm interested to see how those blue hash plants do. I had a seed from a fem plant. I kept it for a while thinking it would be female, and then one day changed my mind and decided it would be a hermie so I threw it away...

All I would say is you might be a bit quick into large pots, ideally they should be in a 1L pot or thereabouts. It's best to let the plant get somewhere close to rootbound before transplanting to 11L pots, it makes for better and faster root system.

Never grown bluehash but had a bitch of a time with PC and Dry Powdery Mildew from flowering. Yield was poor, quaity was worse, probably due to the beating they got trying to cure the DPM. This time round from clone they are doing much better. I woud recommend some superthrive for these bad boys as they are like my woman..... easily stressed and needs help to chill.

Just shout if you need any help or info on Pineapple chunk.

hi mrmean green, cheers for the input, what was your set up and temps to get the mildew. i wanna avoid any problems on this grow. ill look into that superthrive

Superthrive is cheap and vit B rich. I use it on every watering and is a gift from the gods in my eyes. Not expensive and you only need a few drops per 10L of water (ebay £10) and last ages. Helps with stress, disease and loads more.

My conditions at the time were pretty good although air flow / circulation could have been better. keep your lower foliage well trimmed back and closse any direct air inlets at night when its damp and cold. It's one of those things, when you get it, you get it. It gets right into your buds, it really is a curse. My Tangerine Dream in the same tent was not affected at all, just the PC. Try to keep your humidity down to sub 40 also. Hope this helps. I eventually found a treatment that worked but I was 1 week before harvest and it fucked my buds. Don't bother with the mik treatment if you get it, short term and comes right back. shout me if you get it and I will do my best to help, fingers crossed you don't.

i've been growing a pheno of pineapple chunk for a year now. bear in mind that there have been issues in the past with people complaining about their pc phenos and being lanky and low yielding and whatnot, but my pheno is tops. can't speak for your phenos but mine is a VERY heavy feeder and an average yielder, and some really primo smoke. mine takes about 9 weeks of flower, so ignore that bullshit "55 day" crap from barney's. however, for a 9 week strain, the colas are a lot fatter than one would expect. some of my colas get 2 inches across under a 400w hps. i lst the shit out of her because she does stretch more than she looks like she will.

i really only have pics of the original plant before i dialed it in, but you can see what i mean by heavy feeder. notice that at the beginning of flower the leaves are so green they are shiny, but by the end those bitches got had defs because i undershot the feed a bit. i corrected this on future generations. i also use a bigger pot now. i grew the original as a freebie and didn't have very high hopes because at the time people were complaining about their pc beans, so i didn't really give her the attention she deserved. she's my favorite to grow for the time being. in one of the pics you can see how the main stem snapped when i trained her but healed like a champ.

considering that's a 2 gallon pot, the yield was decent. i got around 2 oz on that one if i remember correctly. it would have been a lot more but i was pussyfooting on the nutes and i have very little environmental control. at the time i had just run out of my ff tiger bloom and switched to jack's classic around 4 weeks into flower. i was unfamiliar with the nutes so i went very easy, around a half dose. i don't remember the average temp, but based on the datestamps on the photos it was late fall/early winter, so the temps would have been around 70-78 during lights on but probably dropped in the 50s during lights off a couple dozen times (maybe even the upper 40s. there's no heat in there without the light.)

just bent her over the little minx and began the third bend on the older pineapple. the larger blue hash has had its third bend, but the smaller one is real stocky at the moment so im gonna see what happens to her(?) before i give her/him a third bend

been reading up a little more on this hermi school of thought. im a little concerned as lots of people are saying that you shouldnt bother going a seed produced with out pollination.

the main idea is that any kind of stress should be avoided, so im gonna skip topping both the blue hash's and just top the pineapples. which is no biggie as its a little experimentation in itself.

also have some super-thrive on the way courtesy of ebay.

the new plan is to wait till the super-thrive gets here, top the pineapples and hit the whole lot with the super-thrive
