I was contemplating switching to cmh, I used to run a pair of 430s (the old sonagro) with their matching mag ballasts but as the ballasts were dipping with age I wanted to see what tech was coming, at the time led was just moving out of “ufo” lights. So I had gotten an induction light, tricked oops, no where near enough ppfd and that light was expensive! Great for veg :|
At this point I’m invested in led, sometimes I think I should have went cmh as I sometimes miss my hps and I’m sure the learning curve between those is negligible.
Dude I remember when my local hydro store was trying to push the induction lights, years back- didn't last long though. Literally saw one the other day, open just thrown to side at the hydro store collecting dust, asked about it and he didn't have much to say. They were weird looking also like a big plastic florescent tube. Glad I never tried them then.
Leds have come along way now, really liking timbers and fluence spydr series, that i have seen in growrooms. Plus you can get a custom build that basically the same as a fluence for a fraction of the cost from china.

Gotta say I like growing with HIDs though and if I can bring the wattage down to 630 a light and get great results might just stick with the cmh for now.

Your canopy maintenance is going to be fun running all those cuts in the same room with 30 from seed. Lol. I’m subbed to see how the room turns out.

You're going to be sadly disappointed then if your hoping for a mess...I picked up pheno hunted clones. Most especially the Dolato and platinum cake are have barely any vertical stretch. Plus I ran 30 reg seeds flowered in 2 gal pots to search for a few mother plants. Ended up with 18 females(which is great rates out of 30) so they have more than enough room on the seed plant side. It's nothing I can't handle. Only thing I'll be dealing with is most likely staking a few plants deep into flower. Then again I ran a sherb breath that pulled over 12 zips in a 5gal fabric pot that didn't need to get staked till the very end. All the colas supported themselves. I have very good airflow in my rooms. Sherb breath monster-

Not a mess, just not every cut grows the same height a the same speed. So your room should be interesting with all you’ve got in there.

I had a chance to pick up a variety of clones so figured why not, and also run some seed strains while I got back in the swing of thing after taking a few months off.

Ya its definitely not even on the clone side. Lol. I'll take a pic of the dolato tonite, they have absolutely barely any stretch, its crazy. Looks funny next to a meat breath monster.

alright , lil update, I'm 26 days into flower, things are looking good. Very surprised how far along a few of these strains are, especially the Dolato. Here's the Dolato at 26 days in bloom-

Man, just chillin! I been running around the area, a few things going on. Went on some long hiking excursions the last few days, took my son some furniture to his new apartment in Albuquerque this weekend too. Got someone looking at buying my 5th wheel camper so been putting time in that.
min tired and my girls need some love. Gmo I got going is taking long, I was told like 11-12 weeks. I ran her a light on the nutes so it’s more like 12-13.

Nice man, ya I'm trying to get those 8-10 week tops phenos. But when you put in the love, they will return it. 12-13 is a run though!

The bottle was dusty but the liquor was clean...

Daddy made whisky and he made it well, cost three dollars and it burned like hell
I was a lil sauced last nite myself, reciting Dead lyrics;-) in my journal, haha love it.

Forgot to mention, I lost most of the cuts in the new bubble cloner. I should have really took backups in my aerocloner and put some directly in soil. Just was not used to the new bigger bubble cloner with slightly bigger sub. It was making a bit to much heat and around here we were having extreme heat for a couple weeks. Add that to the fact that the bubble cloner was on the side of the basement that doesn't have a/c, and think the water in cloner got to warm, I should have had it on a timer 15 min on/off, like someone mentioned, by the time I did that it was to late. I'm already running an mini split in the flower room, and have mini split in all my living quarters so don't really want to put and portable down in the area where the cloning rack is, might have to just move cloners upstairs in a/c for the summer months.

All is good though, I got some lady that has a bunch of cuts for me that are ready to go. I'll be grabbing them next week. Work out perfect, I'll be able to veg for 3 weeks to a month- then when I harvest, they'll be going directly to flower room. I'll get cuts from these clones and this time make sure not to make the same mistake.

Bubble cloners in the summer are tough, I tried to break mine out this year too and then had a déjà vu.
I break out into renditions of brown eyed woman often, lol. My wife just rolls her green eyes and laughs to herself lol
I lost some clones over the weekend too, I thought I gave them enough water but it was hotter than usual. Their moms are only a week into flip so I’m still golden, I hadn’t done a final trim on them yet either, woo hoo! I’m glad you’re getting your situation sorted so quickly, it’s nice when a silver lining presents itself!
