624 watt cfl grow
veg chamber is like 15"deep x 28" wide x 20" tall. i had 10 26 watt cfls in there for a total of around 16k lumens or around 5k lumens per square foot.
my lights are not movable because im only able to be home on the weekends cause i have to work out of town, but i figure if i put extra light in there
i should be alright and not have alot of stretching. i had the plants in 5 inch square pots and in the veg chamber for only the first 2 weeks, after that i
transplanted them and moved em all into my flower chamber for a little longer vegging and then on to flowering.
my flowering chamber is 22" deep x 35" wide and around 26" of vertical growth room. in there i have 24 cfl lights all rated at 26 watts.
for a total of 624 actual watts. for vegging i had 9 6500k lights, 5 5500k lights and 12 2700k lights. for flowering ill have 6 of the daylight bulbs
and 18 of the 2700k bulbs. i got around 7300 lumens per square foot.i installed a thin plexiglass sheet just below the lights with a gap in the middle
for air to go up, past all the lights and out each end which i have 4" ducting running to my 6" inline fan and filter. temps stay around 75 with the lights
on and 60-65 with the lights off.
i started 10 seeds but only 8 made it. i have super silver haze, lemon skunk, hawaiian snow and big bang. 2 of each and all were feminized seeds.
my 2 white rhino seeds didnt pop out of their shells before i had to leave for the week. after that is was just growing and watering. i did set up an
automatic watering system for the second week of growth cause i thought that they might dry out before i got back again on friday.
after 2 weeks in the veg chamber i transplanted and moved to my bigger grow box. they have been in there for another 2 weeks so far.
they havnt been drying out too fast yet so i havnt set up the watering system again yet. i think my ph was a bit off and a bit of nute burn from the
damn slow release ferts that were already in the soil. they seem to be doing better now that i got the ph fixed hopefully.
well they are 4 weeks in as i write this. heres a few pictures of the boxes and the pretty girls.
pic 1 small veg box
pic 2 and 3 large flower box
pic 4 seeds popped and planted. right before i left for the week. white widow on the far right never broke soil.
pic 5 end of 2nd week. you can see some of the watering lines. some have been moved already. this is right before i transplanted.
pic 6 end of 3rd week.
pic 7 end of 4th week. right side. big bang on the left. super silver haze on the right
pic 8 end of 4th week. left side. hawaiian snow on the left. lemon skunk on the right
i changed em to 12/12 lights a day after the last 2 pics. about 28 days since planting the seeds into dirt.
questions, comments, anything i need to know? feel free to speak up.
thanks for checking it out
