I thought penetrator was a good model?TRUST ME THATS NOT WORTH IT DON'T BUY THAT ONE ITS OVER PRICED. If your going to buy one get : http://www.ebay.ca/itm/New-180w-Lighthouse-Blackstar-LED-Grow-light-3w-LEDs-/290556299056?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item43a6814730 or http://www.ebay.ca/itm/2011-100W-6Band-Lighthouse-Blackstar-2w-LED-Grow-Light-/280736897577?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item415d391a29 . Both more powerful + are made by a decent company + give more lumens
so blackstar is the best atm?
Oh how much did you get yours for?
any good results?
i'm going to avoid the GLH ones as i've found cheaper blackstars and with 3w leds instead of their 1w first gen ones
seem better too.
How many plants could a 180w cover do you think?I paid $270 for the Blackstar 240, and depending on strain, I've seen over 1/2 gram per watt. I get about that, I have a friend who has one, and he gets a little more, but the strain he's growing is higher yielding.
I have an older GLH panel, and I get better results with it than any other light I have. The GLH uses 3 watt LEDs. My GLH panel with the same exact strain produces maybe 25% more per watt used.
I think you'd be happy with either Blackstar, or GLH. Blackstar is a lot cheaper in price.
Hows it going with them?I have 240 BS I grow 2 plants LST style.

and well i'm going to invest in a blackstar then
probably a couple of autosDepending on the strain, if it's a smaller strain, like indica dominant, or an auto, with the 180, maybe 2-3 plants, 4-5 if you're lucky. If it's a bigger plant like a sativa, 1 or 2 plants at most. You can train your plants though to grow where you want them to.
